Poor service and dirty!

When we arrived late at night we were told we could not get checked in cause she does not get OT. We were given a room # and a fob code and thankfully a phone #. There are several units and were just told the one closest to the beach. The fob had no key in it. We called the number who is in Maui and after an hour of fooling around got into another room. It was very dirty. In the morning we went to the front desk and got into the room we were scheduled for the previous night. It was a bit cleaner so were glad we moved. After seeing the property in the day we were glad nothing happened to us that night before when we were trying to get into our room. Lots of homeless and apparent drug use in the area. The location is the best thing about this property. They need to do some major updates to this property!!!! Poor response to my concerns

The sliding and screen doors leading to balcony lacked locks to secure the unit. The balcony door had a chain lock which, when used, left about a 8 inch gap. Housekeeping left a big bag of dirty towels in the closet. Sink emitted foul smell when used. Resort Mgmt failed to address door lock issue. Parking was a challenge due to very limited spaces. Not your typical Hawaiian vacation

The only thing going for this 'inn' is the location. Close to shops & restaurants, but overshadowed by lack of amenities, peacefulness, & most of all; safety. Plan to spend all of your time away from your room. Neighboring units have full time residents & the walls are thin. No coffee or crib option. No towel service or housekeeping. The unit itself is run down & small. Worst of all, the back slider is locked only by a hang chain. The front door has a key code pad for someone to get in without anyone knowing. Overall, this place felt very unsafe for my family & the environment does not feel like a Hawaiian vacation. Luckily we only had to stay a few days before transitioning to our normal two week timeshare. This is about as bad as you can get if you're staying on the Big Island. Don’t do it.

Wyndham properties can be hit and miss, and this is a huge miss. The room was filthy, noisy, and tiny. The ‘kitchen’ was maybe 1 foot by 3 feet, with the smallest microwave I’ve ever seen. It was like being in a camper. Dirt everywhere. Bathroom was tiny, no counter space. AC was terribly noisy; no view at all. We are not people to squander money, but opted to leave after one night of our seven night stay and spend our budget on a nicer place. Thank goodness we found a room elsewhere. uncomfortable and thieves!

The bed was rock hard, dim lighting, old furniture. Someone with a key card entered our room and stole my jewelry pouch. I never travel with expensive items fortunately but when I confronted the front desk to make a complaint they manager dismissed me totally. Avoid this place!
