Should be Very Good But Room Carpeting Filthy

This WorldMark has an excellent location several miles east of Galena, and the exterior appearance is very good. But our studio was in poor condition: the rug was filthy and caulking around the toilet failing. But most of all it was the carpeting-disgusting. When we told management we got the typical response to condition issues of this type: we'll be replacing it soon. That doesn't help our stay. And why didn't you at least have it deep cleaned last year when no one was traveling. This is an indication of poor management of the facility: the manager needs to walk every room at least once a month, but apparently she or he doesn't at this Worldmark. And the lights outside on the patio for the two grills never came on. I spoke to the desk clerks at least three times about this but during our 4 night stay, the problem was never fixed. This was not only inconvenient when I used the grills, as it was dark by 6 PM or so, but a safety hazard. WorldMark, I think you need a new manager for this facility. Except for the very small kitchen, we found the layout good: a large jacuzzi tub in the bathroom with a two way fireplace. And the drop down trundle bed was comfortable. We also thought the maids/cleaning crew did a good job of deep cleaning. Our criticism is not of them but of management. Would highly recommend

Our stay was actually in September 2020. Wonderful place, and Galena is one of our favorite getaways. Shops, restaurants, history, hiking and more in warm weather, skiing in winter. A bit out of the way in northwestern corner of Illinois, but well worth the drive! Our stay was actually in September 2020. Wonderful place, and Galena is one of our favorite getaways. Be careful booking with Booking .com

We lost $312 from canceling a 2 night stay at World Mark. Booking .com was no help in getting our money back. World Mark claims the cancellation fee can be the total cost of the stay. We cancelked just a couple hours of making the reservation. We plan to contact the Illinous AG office fraud division We lost $312 from canceling a 2 night stay at World Mark. Great getaway

We had a great experience. We are definitely looking forward to staying at this resort again. We loved that you could were required to reserve pool and fitness center time secondary to COVID-19 restrictions, this ensured that I had the fitness center to myself and the pool for just the two of us. We loved our mini kitchen and the ability to make coffee and breakfast in our room every morning, as well as grilling outside. Highly recommend! We had a great experience. We are definitely looking forward to staying at this resort again. Valentine’s Away

Clean hotel, beautiful room with large jacuzzi tub. Loved having a kitchen and laundry. Would recommend third floor for quiet mornings. Loved the fireplace in the wall between bedroom and living room. If it was nice out, balcony would’ve been an amazing spot for coffee and looking at the view. Only issue is remote for tv didn’t work and had to request conditioner. No major complaints and can’t wait to return! Clean hotel, beautiful room with large jacuzzi tub.
