Unacceptable Generator Noise

What a disappointment !! We took our overseas visitor here (tented camp) to experience the beauty and peace of the african bush but instead were subjected to the 24/7 grinding, blowing noise of an industrial, malfunctioning generator that was left running regardless of loadshedding or not. This noise carried through the entire camp from the chalets to the camping ground to the tented camps ! The pool was in serious need of chlorine and backlash and was poorly maintained. If you want peace and quiet, AVOID this camp !! What a disappointment !! Manyane Resort - Camping

Had a great stay at Manyane, the campsite was clean, stands were big enough. The staff was friendly. Most of the toilets and showers were clean. Will definitely book there again. Was concerned after reading some of the reviews before our stay, however, I was pleasantly surprised. I do understand that due to COVID-19 there is limited staff on call, however, I would recommend that Manyane ensure regular maintenance on the showers and toilets to ensure all showers and toilets are working properly. Had a great stay at Manyane, the campsite was clean, stands were big enough. The staff was friendly. Most of the toilets and showers were clean. Will definitely book there again. Paradise in between poor maintenance (Manyane Resort - Camping)

As a regular visitor to Pilanesberg National Park, specifically Manyane Camp it is very upsetting to see the poor maintenance we saw the past weekend, we never had these problems in Manyane Camp and by now I can't see that we can still blame COVID-19. We had absolutely no hot water and this was not due to the amount of people in camp, I was there in the mornings 05:00am and at night at 10:00pm and there was not hot water, this happened with both me and my wife at the different ablution facilities, even walked to two other ablutions facilities where there was the same problem Then there was no toilet paper at times and the bathrooms especially the showers were very dirty as there was nothing available for people to dry the floors after using the showers. To think in this COVID-19 time’s hygiene should be top priority in these camps. A number of wash basins in the bathroom's taps did not work My wife had the issue in their ablution facilities where a number of toilets could not flush, people used the toilets not knowing it can't flush and could unfortunately not do anything about it, very unhygienic. If one takes the number of people who were in Mayane camp, I personally don't think the camp can handle that many people We paid for and electrified camp site and had no power Friday evening up until 10:00pm My wife also experienced a bad situation where there were some people sitting within the lady's bathroom inside showers while they were drinking alcohol, absolutely ridiculous and surely this cannot be allowed. The braai's are also in a very bad condition, some braai's fall through and definitely need to be replaced, a camp site can accommodate quite a few tents and when you look at the braai you can barely get all the meat on there. In general, the maintenance of the ablution facilities is very poor and it is in a very unhygienic condition. Furthermore to the park, the general maintenance of the tar roads and some gravel roads are not up to standard, there is so many potholes in the tar roads and one need to drive very carefully. Pilanesberg is a jewel, absolutely stunning to experience nature, we had wonderful sightings which include the big 5 on two occasions the past weekend, but unfortunately the maintenance is not up to standard. This is one of the Northwest Province Flagship reserves and should therefore be maintained as such, it is next to Sun City, and also very popular to the people of Gauteng and one would expect the local government in Northwest stand up and start to maintain this park in the same way SANPARKS maintain their parks, it is too often that local governments don’t attend and maintain to the upkeep of National parks and Nature Reserves although they play such a massive role in the local economy. Worst accommodation ever

Don't go to this place. It is beyond bad. All I can say is stay away. All the way downhill for Golden Leopard Resorts. Now they want me to tell you in 200 characters how bad they are or is it because I can not give them a rating. Don't go to this place. It is beyond bad. All I can say is stay away. Safari Tent Manyane

Very disappointed to see no upkeep or maintenance at this camp. No hot water in the ladies bathrooms. Toilets not flushing. We booked one of the tents and it was confirmed we would have a fridge but had to phone numerous times to get a fridge. Staff are friendly but there is absolutely no Maintenance taking place.
