Beautiful Hotel, Exceptional Staff

I went there last year to celebrate my girfriend's birthday. They trated us extremely well, taaking care of every whim and request my girfriend requested. Our room had a living room and sleeping quarters on the first floor, right infront of the hallway leading to the pool. As with all all inclusive hotels, the food was amazing. You can easily overeat since the food is so well prepared and delicious. this hotel, as part of the Decameron chain allows you to go to any of the other 6 hotels and enjoy their facilities. The beach in front of the Isleño, for example has the best beach in the island, so while we enjoyed the water and the hot sun, we got towels and drinks at will since we were staying at one of their properties. Nice touch. In fact, since we were there to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday, the Maryland's restaurant manager had the bakery at the Isleño bake her a huge birthday cake to celebrate. All part of the all inclusive package. Can't make that stuff up. She was on cloud nine thanks to the fabulous service of the hotel staff. Definitely have to do this again. Terrible

Don't ever book with them if you don't want to lose your belongings. I lost a personal item at the pool area right in front of my room when I asked for help the staff were useless nobody care about my situation,finally the manager showed me the video recording we saw a staff member approaching at the place that I left my item,the manager got surprised and told me that he will clarify the situation right away after couple minutes he change his version and told me that the guy that we saw in the video he was a third party company, and was my responsibility to left personal items on public areas unattended, seriously Decameron maryland. Don't ever book with them if you don't want to lose your belongings. Great Hotel but You Need to Walk a Little to Get to a Good Beach (10 minutes)

This newly remodeled hotel is quite open and has a unique feature of glass panels in the pool and outdoor dining areas that puts you right next to the sea without excessive wind or sea spray. The room that we had was modern and spacious. The bathroom and shower were attractive. Some rooms, like ours, had a small balcony attached. Probably the best part of experience was the buffet restaurant. There was a very large variety of items to choose from and all of the items that we tried were delicious. I have a couple of small suggestions for improvement. Only a couple of times were we offered glasses of water or cups of coffee in quick manner. Most of the time it was necessary for us to go to the side table and serve ourselves beverages. It also seemed as if the staff had been instructed to not interact much with the guests and keep talking to a minimum with the guests. We feel that this should be changed to a more welcoming atmosphere. The beach alongside the hotel was attractive with its own bar and snack restaurant. However, we could not cross the medium size rocks underwater at the water´s edge (even with water shoes) to do any swimming. This is probably a natural phenomena and I not certain that anything can be done to improve the situation. The alternative is to walk 10 minutes along the beach to arrive in front of the Decameron Isleño hotel. The beach there was soft white sand with no rocks to pass by to be in the water. There are 3 bars in various sections of the hotel and the staff service was quite friendly. I have visited San Andres Island 8 times. Despite these criticisms, I would put Decameron Maryland as one of the top hotels to spend a vacation in San Andres Island. Perfect place for relaxing a beautiful sea

I was impressed with San Andres, the most beautiful sea that i ever see, you can have a relaxing vacations there, good service, good food, nice pool and the staff it's so kind. It's really near from center so you can walk and enjoy the view. I totally recomended. Worst hotel in San Andres

It is by far the worst hotel I've ever been. Take a look at the photos. Even though the manager and the stuff did everything they could for us to have a decent and joyful stay, everything else was terrible. The rooms are nasty, dark and dirty. Wifi is chargeable as well as the room security box. We were told that the hotel will be demolished on late January 2016, I can understand why. It is by far the worst hotel I've ever been. Take a look at the photos. Even though the manager and the stuff did everything they could for us to have a decent and joyful stay, everything else was terrible. The rooms are nasty, dark and dirty.
