No sleep
The walls are VERY thin. My neighbor kept me and my family up all night talking, walking, and doing laundry from 10am till almost 4am. I called the front desk several times and all they said is they would talk with him in the morning. It is the morning as far as I'm concerned. We stayed here before and same thing people upstairs were loud. So your options are to be up all night if you get a loud neighbor or shlep all your stuff up and down to the third floor for piece and quiet. But remember the walls are thin so you better be asleep by 10 for consideration of your neighbors. Never coming here again. The walls are VERY thin. You wrote a review for WorldMark Lake Tahoe 15 minutes ago 1.0 star rating 3/25/2021 Check in went well except the strong encouragement to go to a "feed back presentation", where we would receive a small gift and bottle of wine. We all know what this is, yet another tactic to sell more points. The worst part of our stay- I booked 3 condos, each has two bedrooms for a ski vacation with grandchildren. Amenities at this location include a hot tub, swimming pool and game room. All of which were closed. The management excuse is COVID. This is Nevada, and every other hotel/condo is open. They said "We need to figure out how we will open it." So, I went back in the next day to give them a way to open. Basically what every other hotel/condo is doing. Get a clip board and have families sign up for a allotted time. Have 15 minutes between appt to sanitize. I have gone back into the office several times and was flatly told this AM, "No, we are NOT opening it". I have called Worldmark and they have filed a claim. However, they tell me to call back after I check out so that they can address the management. ???What??? I have paid with my points for three condos, with no amenities. Is this fair...NO! Condo- my condo has a huge tear in the sofa arm. The spices that are usually in the cabinet(a variety) are 3 red pepper and 2 parsley. No pizza cutter. The parking is first come first serve, and I was told there might be room for my car after 4 when the cleaning/maintenance crew leaves. What? The room below us was smoking marijuana in their room continuously, starting 7-8 AM in the morning. When we went to management, they did not address this issue, they told us that they thought the perpetrators were checking out later. They obviously knew about this issue and di not address it. Mismanaged reservation system between properly and mgmt company Extra Holidays
Booked this hotel via booking.com and one day before our arrival when I called to ask some questions the property could not confirm my reservation! Because of that our travel plans had to be changed and reservation had to be cancelled. Booking.com cancelled reservation penalty free (as it was less than 24 hours before the arrival). Now the management agency for the property (Extra Holidays) charges my credit card (surprisingly for a different amount from the one the property was booked) ignoring free cancellation. Already spent hours on the phone with the bank & booking.com trying to get money back. Suggestion to avoid dealing with this property via booking brokers try to book directly. Quiet, Calm, Stellar Location
Our visit was magical. I don't know if it's because it was our first post- COVID- lockdown trip and we were so happy to be out and about after 4 months, but my husband rated it as one of our top trips. We travel extensively and tend to go "high end" with our choices for lodging, restaurants and air travel so for my husband to say what he did, speaks volumes. We are Worldmark owners and I have to admit, were a bit disappointed(?) concerned (?) about the feel to the unit but it worked out fine. Our accommodations were a 1 bedroom unit in Tahoe 3. The couch was uncomfortable, the carpet was concerning but we got over it and enjoyed the rarified pine scented air and beautiful environment . The area was quiet and away from the chaos of SLT- perfect for what we were looking for while wanting to avoid crowds while COVID is on the rise. We were able to walk miles and miles around the development where the property is located, enjoying stunning vistas. We drove one afternoon to the charming Genoa, NV, very close, down the backside of Kingsbury Grade. The spas weren't operation and the pool area required reservations, which they make for 2 hour blocks. As a testament to how lovely it was, we were fortunate to have found availability to go back again this coming weekend! Our visit was magical. Great location, needs updates
We went to Lake Tahoe in July on a roadtrip thru CA and NV. Overall, the resort is nice. It is very close to a beach and it is a pleasant walk from the resort to this area. It is centrally located for Lake Tahoe activities. The resort needs some updates. The rooms were a bit outdated and like other reviewers have mentioned, no air conditioning. It is hot in July and we we not as comfortable as we would have liked, especially trying to sleep in the evening. It probably would be a great place to stay in the winter if you are skiing, but there really wasn't much about this resort, or the area, to bring me back in the summer.
