BUGGY - BRING YOUR OFF

Clean and spacious unit. No laundry. Very buggy, at least in September when we went. Furniture needs replacement. No inviting outdoor/firepit areas. If we wanted to get out of the unit, we had to get in the car and go somewhere. The pool is open in Summer (I think) but that pool looked cramped and uninviting. Clean and spacious unit. No laundry. Quaint

Wind in the Pines is a quaint little out of the way place to stay. Clean, sparse yet takes care of your needs. Near by are very good restaurants, a good choice of ethnic foods and local foods, too. The area is very much an adults place, with no activities for children. The museums and art and culture were amazing along with the architecture of the area. We were lucky with perfect weather, so lots of outdoor walking and touristy things to do. The only bad point in the room was the toilet seats, which cut into your rear end while sitting to do your business. Wind in the Pines is a quaint little out of the way place to stay. Disappointing RCI trade.

First the good things (want to be fair) Relatively clean. A few dishes were greasy and a coffee cup not clean and only one hair in the tub. But overall clean. Plenty of towels, soap, paper goods and dish detergent. Hand sanitizer at door. Rooms big enough. Beds ok. I don't know which resort Booklady 2 went to but we sure did not have flowers, chocolates or perrier water when we arrived. No notebook with information and that is what I noticed right away. No information about towel replacement or laundry room. No information about anything except for Bob the managers cell phone number. He was very friendly and helpful but we had to seek him out when he was there and we never knew when that would be. Never at night. The "common room" had a pool table which was covered and piled with stuff. The chairs piled with stuff. There was a huge vacuum cleaner in that room as well. The pool was broken. We were told a part was broken so that left out the only entertainment we would have had on the 90 degree days. We asked about hikes and Bob printed out some for us. Why there wasn't an information packet with local restaurants, hikes etc. I do not know. I have never stayed at an RCI property without some kind of information sheet. The rooms were soooo dark we needed to keep the lights on all the time. Furniture not bad but spreads, decor, curtains all very very old. No screened porch. We killed 16 mosquitoes the first night INSIDE. 2 fitted sheets for the couch instead of a flat one. Curtains on the porch door see through so when anyone passed by there was no privacy. We had to put a towel on the door. Other curtains held open with frayed ties. Someone said the price was right. Not for us. We traded our villa which cost money and then paid points for this place which no matter how you call it is still a motel. After the last several years reviews why don't they spend a few dollars for new curtains and spreads at least. We left early. Very disappointed. Beautiful location

Don't be fooled by the decrepit building next door to the resort. The resort itself is set back off the roadside so it is quiet and very nice. Bob is a sweetheart. The rooms have been renovated. Bad Value for Money

We got was a 2- Bedroom 2 Bathroom unit for 126000 points. The unit was cramped and I felt it was not worth the points that was used. Bedrooms were cramped and small. Carpets looked musty and were not cleaned properly. Reception was open for a limited time and there was no one at the front desk to help . We got was a 2- Bedroom 2 Bathroom unit for 126000 points.
