La Splaza Residence

We visited this residence in the off season, in autumn. it is mainly a ski resort. There is an 11km access road up a mountain with 14 tornante or hairpin bends along what can be a quite narrow road. This is common in Italy, however. There were not many people about at the time we visited, consequently several services were closed. There was no one on duty when we checked out, so we did it with the maintenance man. Fortunately I am able to speak a bit of Italian which made things easier in general, not just on the check out. The under resort car parking is poorly lit and was quite dirty. The whole place really needs a "spruce up". Nevertheless we enjoyed our stay here and were able to do some interesting walking and also car touring. We visited this residence in the off season, in autumn. it is mainly a ski resort. Worst experience in Italy ever!

The area is beautiful but the resort needs a lot of TLC, paintings and update. A 12' TV is from WW II era. Very small appliances. You really need a car. Rugs and elevators belong to a building to be demolished. We were "welcome" with a toilet paper roll only. We paid $ 81 Euros in CASH for bedding sheets, towels, and cleaning services!!! We checked out the 2nd day and went to a local hotel! They can keep the money! We are on vacation! This was a nightmare! The area is beautiful but the resort needs a lot of TLC, paintings and update. Lakes Iseo and Garda are gorgeous!

My wife and I spent 35 days traveling Northern and Central Italy in June and July 2019. We stayed 3 of those 35 days at Residence La Splaza as base camp to explore Lakes Iseo and Garda. Antonio, the gentleman at the front desk, was very warm, gracious and did everything he could in helping us get settled quickly so we could really enjoy our brief stay with them. We wish we could have stayed longer, but we had to travel on to Lake Como. My wife and I spent 35 days traveling Northern and Central Italy in June and July 2019. Beautiful view - lovely condos

This lovely place is isolated in the summer, but beautiful - a couple of very nice restaurants nearby, and a good one at the site. Good activities for children. With a car, a lot to do/see in the area within about an hour's drive. The rooms were quite nice - since it is a ski resort - no carpets, but well supplied for our basic needs. English in the office was less than ideal, maybe only during the summer, but they tried very hard, and we did communicate. Very Italian Holiday

The room was very comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains. We saw only 4 other English speaking people while there, so if you don't know Italian, be prepared to have issues with communication. Only 2 people working there were any good at speaking English. There were many activities available including 9 hole golf, archery, and games. Live music was most nights about 9-9:30 PM. Some of the activities weren't worth attending as they were all in Italian. There are many restaurants and small markets all over the mountain so food is plentiful. There are also many shops throughout and on a couple of occasions, mobile vendors set up for the day. It was very quiet and beautiful. Great for a relaxing week especially if you just want to be alone. If you're American, however, you do get a bit of attention. We're a "novelty". ;) The room was very comfortable with beautiful views of the mountains.
