A Magical Stay!
My husband, son and I are frequent DisneyWorld visitors (about 2-3 times per year). We love trying out new Disney resorts. For this trip, we decided to stay at Saratoga Springs, a resort we’ve stayed at many times before. With its updated look, It definitely feels like a new resort, and we really enjoyed exploring it all over again. Our check-in was a breeze. I checked in on the My Disney app and they texted me when my room was ready. When we arrived a few hours later, we went straight to our room and were able to open it up with our phone. We went to the front desk because our magic bands weren’t working when we tried to open the door, and they fixed it right away—the customer service here was top notch! We had a Deluxe studio and it was a great size for our family of three. The small kitchenette with a mini fridge, coffee maker and microwave was all we needed to do quick breakfasts in the room. We had two queens—the main bed and a Murphy bed that came out over the couch—we really liked this feature. The one thing we wished the room had was a small dining table, even if it had one or two chairs, because we found it hard for us to sit and eat; we had to sit on the beds and eat which wasn’t ideal. We love the vinyl floors, not only is it beautiful, but also so much cleaner than carpet. We didn’t use the buses, because we didn’t want to have to wait. Since we drove, it was easy for us to drive to the parks ourselves, which we highly recommend. If you park a car at the resort, Disney charges 25 dollars per night. This will carry over to the parks, if you decide to drive yourself there. My recommendation is to purchase preferred parking (normally 50 a day, but you’ll get it for 25 since you’re staying on property). This gives you the ability to park right in the front—you can also use it at all parks for that day. We really love this resort and can’t wait to come back! Solid Family Stay
We are DVC members though Saratoga Springs is not one of our home resorts. We had a 2 BR standard view room. We choose this because if the 2nd cheapest 2BR on property. We knew the resort was going to very spread out, we were not wrong. Rooms were clean and recently refreshed. Major upgrade from the previous. Staff was great as always. Paddock pool was very fun for my boys. Good outdoor bar/grill. Zero depth pool with slide and large kids splash area and this is their secondary pool! We didn’t use the high rock pool which is their featured. We were there during the 30 hour rain storm. Turf club lounge was nice area. Very country club but that’s what they are going for. I’m shocked that Turf Club isn’t opened yet. We saw this as a huge draw back. I get Covid and staffing but this is a deluxe/DVC resort without a sit down restaurant. They can get away with this because of there proxy to Disney Springs, but we are not huge Disney Springs people. The grounds are very well maintained. The playground was fun for my 4 year old boys. This would be a great location for a very relaxed resort centric stay, I wouldn’t have chosen Saratoga if we were going to parks 4-5 days in a week. It was a solid stay, not great. Would I stay here again… if it was my only chose, sure. I would stay here over Old Key West. A poor DVC resort does not exist. Would it be in our top 5, no, but if we ended up here again, I’d be fine with it We are DVC members though Saratoga Springs is not one of our home resorts. We had a 2 BR standard view room. Nice Times!
Stayed at the DVC section. Definitely nicely appointed rooms with good amenities. Nice views to the golf course. Saw a wild turkey from our back porch! Nice big pool areas and splash park for babies. On site quick service restaurant was not so quick at breakfast, though. Note that this resort is pretty far from magic kingdom and Epcot. So while they do run buses to all resorts, it’s a bit of a decent ride to either of these resorts, around 20 minutes each way. No other way to get there, either. No boat or monorail service to resorts here. Though there is a boat to Disney springs, which is closeby. Was able to use Walmart plus to have groceries delivered to our room, which was nice. All told I wouldn’t be against staying here again, though there’s more cost efficient options in the area. Stayed at the DVC section. Definitely nicely appointed rooms with good amenities. Pretty good with a few bumps
I recently stayed in Saratoga Springs with my boyfriend. This resort is HUGE. I read reviews about this but didn't fully grasp how big it was until I got there. This made me miss out on some of the pools and poolside drinks/food because we didn't always want to walk back and forth. When we arrived (2PMish) our room wasn't ready, our room still wasn't ready at 4:15 so I wet back to check-in to see what was going on. They found us a room but for a preferred room the view wasn't great, it was of the bus pick-up/drop off which could be loud at times. We left our luggage with bell service and when we retrieved it back one of our wheels was broken off. The room was spacious and clean. Bed was comfortable. My only complaint about the room was the ants. We were on the 4th floor of the Congress building and we kept getting ants where the coffee area was. I told the front desk and supposedly someone was going to spray the area but I don't think anyone ever did because we kept getting these little ants all over the coffee counter. Other than that, our stay was good. Staff was friendly and helpful when asking questions. Being close to Disney Springs was also a plus. Not sure if I would rush back to this resort with the mishaps that happened. I recently stayed in Saratoga Springs with my boyfriend. This resort is HUGE. Home away from home
I have stayed at several Disney resorts over the last three years: Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs. Each of them have their merits; however Animal Kingdom and Wilderness Lodge are more hotel-like and Old Key West and Saratoga Springs are more condominium-like. I prefer the condominium type and of the two, I really enjoyed Saratoga Springs. Beautiful grounds, lots of opportunities to see birds, lots of walking paths and fun pools. There is no bad room at Saratoga Springs! I have stayed at several Disney resorts over the last three years: Animal Kingdom Lodge, Wilderness Lodge, Old Key West, and Saratoga Springs.
