Avoid this Hotel

We read some of the reviews before our 4 day break, but foolishly decided that it couldn't be that bad! How wrong we were. We were initially put into room 20, arriving after driving for 12 hours and over 500 miles. The carpet was stained, the curtains has been burgundy but were so faded they were streak with pale pink and several of the curtain rings were missing. All furniture was very old and cheap looking The small bathroom had a tap that didn't work fully. The room was not dire. When we talked to the receptionist, they confessed this was one of the better rooms, I was ready to leave. AVOID!!!

Do not stay at this hotel!!!!!... the staff are rude!! Wifi does not work, very old fashioned decor and not clean in the slightest. Food is disgusting and very over priced for the slop we got served. Waiter was constantly on his phone, no background music. Drinks are very expensive also. The tv signal is is absolutely shocking.and to top it off there was no running hot water. Just avoid!!! Friendly and welcoming staff, great breakfast.

The room was cosy and the bed comfortable, staff were all very friendly, welcoming and attentive. The decor inside the hotel is quite charming with a few lounge areas to relax in. I found the upstairs bar area to be very relaxing with a nice view over the forest to the Crianlarich hills. Breakfast was great value and plenty of choice of items. Location convenient for many walks and travel to other areas via coach or train. Would definitely stay again. Great stay!

The hotel is located in a very quiet area, plenty of nature around and a few minute walk to the train station. Great for walks in nature, there are also a few shops and restaurants nearby. The hotel is nice and cosy, very nice staff. The hotel is located in a very quiet area, plenty of nature around and a few minute walk to the train station. Avoid! Please take note if you are thinking about booking here!

At any cost - avoid this place! Ignore the fake positive reviews! We had paid for 4 nights in advance (unfortunately) and left after a few hours of checking in as it was the most disgusting place we had ever been in. The surroundings are beautiful, it is such a shame that this place is so horrid. This is the only positive - lovely woodland and mountains. We checked in and the decor was very old and shabby and the room smelt musty. There were dirty cups on the side. Then we noticed a blood stain on the bed. We went to reception and asked if they would get us some clean bedding. They apologised and swapped our rooms instead. The next room had the same musty smell , but also a smell of cigarettes and toilet. There were cigarette butts everywhere outside of the window. Dust everywhere. The same dirty cups. Dead insects. Dirt in the bath. Grotty walls and floors. Stains up the walls that looked like dried blood again or a dark coffee. And something in the toilet ... At any cost - avoid this place!
