Great hotel, great value

My husband and I stayed at the Flamingo for a relaxing getaway (we have two small children!). It was great to find a hotel that is clean, recently updated and stylishly designed, and has a great pool and restaurant ---at a reasonable price! Just sitting in the outdoor area of the restaurant with our own little fire pit, enjoying drinks and looking out at the pool made it the relaxing trip that we wanted. Breakfast was also served out there, and overall we were very happy with the menu options. The menu had a nice array of local favorites plus some items that will make you feel like you are on a tropical vacation :) Our room was very comfortable and clean. Also, the hotel does not give each room a bunch of single use plastic bottles of shampoo, lotion, water, etc. They clearly make an effort to reduce waste by having dispensers (very cute, with flamingos on them) in the bathroom and a pitcher and wanter machine for getting water. Great stay. Fabulous renovation. Tasteful walk back into another era.

This is an older property that has been meticulously renovated with modern amenities and still that retro vibe. THe central pool and outdoor dining are exemplary of an elegant spot, and the low census makes for a comfortable stay. Rooms are decent sized and the resort fee not unreasonable if you use the facilities. I was impressed with the front desk staff in Montecito Health Club, as well the wait staff during Happy Hour. Intelligent design of indoor/outdoor spaces are especially welcome uring Covie. Well done. We will be back. BEWARE, go somewhere else

Stayed at the flamingo because of a group holiday party event. The check-in was smooth and fairly quick. We had booked directly with the hotel. Our room number was 406 and we arrived approximately 5 PM December 4, 2021. When we open the door going into our room, I thought we must be in the wrong place. The floor was just cement. Going past A wall of sorts into the room we saw that there were extremely thin area rugs underneath the beds. That is the only place there was any kind of covering on the cement. The bathroom was adequate although there was not a stopper in the sink, so we had to place a washcloth in the bottom of the sink so as not to lose anything in the event we drop something. The shower curtain was very strange, as it had a cloth curtain with no lining. After one shower curtain was completely soaking wet. if that was all we could have just chalked it up to experience. However, this room was next to an outside entrance. We did not know that until the awful noise started after we went to bed. The noise of the doors opening and slamming shut, people talking loudly, Then the additional noise when they arrived at their room and opened and closed their doors and chatted as they were waiting to get into the room. This noise lasted till just about 4:30 in the morning. It began again around 7 AM when people began to leave and all the extreme noise began again. I couldn’t wait to get out of there so I could go home and get some sleep. Adding insult to injury the flamingo added a resort fee of $29 per person, even though the website mentions a $29 fee plus taxes and everything else that goes along with it, but didn’t disclose that it’s per person. There is a beautiful swimming pool, but it’s not heated because it’s winter, the only hot tub I saw was so full of people no one else could have fit in it. I presume there is some kind of a workout room but I was too exhausted to work out anyway. We were there for a banquet, a group of maybe 55 to 60 people. Very fun destination resort close to home

We appreciated this very well setup hotel, especially the friendliness of the helpful staff, the cleanliness of the rooms and shared spaces. The two pools (one next door for lap swimming only) are awesome, as well as the hot tub. The 1950-s decor is so stylish and fun! Disappointing

Room was small. Immediately had to call maintenance because the window and balcony door wouldn't open. Shabby fitness tent. Pool was underheated. Not enough parking near room so that we had to park in a nearby lot and walk. Room was small. Immediately had to call maintenance because the window and balcony door wouldn't open.
