Family gathering

This was a gathering of elderly siblings and the resort staff did as much as possible to make our week a great and fun time. There are a few more stairs than some places but the view from both levels made it well worth while. We had a great time and hope to do it again. A good break!

Our stay was short and in a fall season. The weather was good. Perhaps, a visit in early summer or late summer will enhance any visit in this area. We had a wonderful time and very accessible to visit other areas, like Ottawa city and the surrounding areas. We definitely have to be back since it was difficult to be able to book ahead of time. Calabogie Lodge

I have come to Calabogie Lodge twice now. I come for a week to have a quiet time to work and sometimes friends come for a day or two. It is only an hour from home. The pool and area are great. The units have been clean and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. I don't visit outside of the resort although Calabogie ski hill is close by if one comes in winter and the lake is available for water activities in summer. Late fall get away

The rooms have a wonderful cottage feel, with great views. Everything was there in the kitchen to make and prepare meals. Although the cutlery and cooking utensils were on the cheap side. The few bothersome items were limited to: noisy furnace that really blew the air in through the heating vents to the point it would wake us up at night, be prepared to wait a few minutes for the hot water to come out .the tap, the restaurant at the main lodge has been renovated, seems they forgot this is a family resort and they eliminated most of the proper dinning tables in favour of little round tables that are great for drinks and snacks. Great location, great restaurant, great views, great unit, not so great furniture ! As usual, RCI member exchanges always get units with unbelievably old, outdated and in many cases broken or unusable furniture, in particular the soft furnishings like the sofa, chairs etc. Great location, great restaurant, great views, great unit, not so great furniture !
