In need of total refurbishment

The resort is in a beautiful part of Wales but is in need of a total refurbishment and update of the accommodation. The kitchen of the accommodation needed a good clean before we arrived, the other rooms had definitely been cleaned. Quiet resort with good facilities and pleasant views.

Excellent stay here for a week. Lots to do in the area. Restaurant up and running a limited menu but well presented and tasted great Spa treatment was good . Pool and hot tub great for after a long walk. Near by town Machynlleth interesting to look round. Room in mansion was lovely and clean and plenty of space in lounge area . Exceeded our expectations

This is a beautiful resort - we stayed in Lapwing which had two bedrooms and three bathrooms (well, one was a shower room - but three full facilities) and a built in sauna. The grounds are lovely, and the facilities at the resort are good - swimming pool and gym, although we didn't make use of them It was a short and beautiful drive to Aberdyfi, which has a expansive beach, and on to Tywyn with another huge beach and a steam railway. Portmerion is only 30 some miles away - another beautiful drive, and a little further on there is the Festiniog Railway. Aberystwyth is well worth a visit and the Glengower, on the seafront, has a wonderful menu which we failed to sample on this visit as the timing was wrong for our eating - we hope to try again!!.. Nice views would benefit from some upgrading.

Fabulous views from our apartment H7, a timeshare unit booked through RCI. The apartment itself is rather dated but the beds were very comfy. Leather sofas and no soft furnishings made it feel a little chilly during the cold snap we had. Luckily there was a sauna in the en-suite which we used. A nice and unexpected treat. The taps to the shower and hand basins needed attention. The kitchen equipment could be improved but hey, we were there for only one week. Losing its shine

The whole site needs a major review by the owners Macdonald resorts. .It is no longer the vibrant time share that we purchased in 1984 Staff moral was very low all around. Many aspects need to be revised e.g. the pool heating system the changing rooms and showers. untrained youngsters expected to run things without full owner support.
