Nice resort with spacious units

This resort is very well managed. The grounds are beautiful and the rec room is lots of fun (I never saw so many people actually use the facilities before!). The pool and spa were comfortable temperatures and were very clean. We checked in after hours with security, so I can’t really say much except it went smoothly. The unit was very clean and had plenty of space plus a balcony. There kitchen was well stocked, there were pool towels and a washer and dryer. We used the grill on our balcony, so that was convenient. The living room Murphy bed was so much more comfortable than a pull out sofa, so that was a big plus. The master bedroom was fine, but I didn’t love that the window was right by the resort road. I would normally have kept the blinds closed, but…the windows were open a lot especially in the evening because there was no air conditioning. If I closed the blinds then my room didn’t cool off. The lack of A/C was the one drawback. The hottest it got inside was 82, but you can imagine that is not refreshing when it’s in the high 80’s outside! We did request a fan and it helped a little. I realize this is only an issue a few weeks/days of the year, but sadly it was hot while we were there. The location is good. You can walk through the complex and down a side road straight to a grocery store, smoothie place, a diner, etc. This resort is very well managed. Warning- you may be left without any lodging…

Despite booking in FEBRUARY for a trip in July, we arrived at the “resort” and ultimately were left with no accommodations. Upon arrival initially, we were told that we would be notified when our room was ready for check in- everything seemed fine and we toured the property and went into town. After receiving no calls/texts/emails, we returned at 4pm (check in time) and were told they had made a mistake and were overbooked; they then proceeded to hand us a reservation at the cheapest possible property in Big Bear; a unit too small for us miles away. The absolute worst part of all of this was the lack of consideration or caring on part of the staff- no one apologized, no one took accountability, and they blamed “computer glitches” and “third party booking” despite the fact that we booked through Wyndham’s official booking service. Do not book a trip here unless you want to run the risk of spending hours traveling only to find yourself without lodging; this is the worst mistake that can be made in the hospitality industry, and rest assured that when this happens here there will be no accountability or even a considerate apology from anyone here. Good but...

We stayed in room 108. It did NOT have air conditioning, just heat. We did see one (1) window unit on a room across the way. WiFi for two devices was free if and only if you had a Travel Share account with WorldMark Timeshares, otherwise $4.95 per day. The shower had very low water pressure that the maintenance man could not fix. While we were there the game room was closed because of COVID, but our stay was just as California was reopening after COVID, and it may be different now. When we first arrived our room was not ready, but they did show us where the restrooms were located over by the pool. They do have hot tubs and a large swimming pool. Almost awesome

Rooms here are huge, quiet (mostly), and extremely clean. Location is in a residential neighborhood away from the main highway, but still close to everything to do and eat in Big Bear. Our one biggest complaint is the heating system. It blows LOUD, like you're in a wind tunnel which makes it extremely difficult to get a good night's sleep. Otherwise, we would not hesitate to stay here again. Rooms here are huge, quiet (mostly), and extremely clean. Would stay here again

We (a couple) stayed Friday & Saturday, October 2 & 3, 2020 in a 2nd floor room-254. Very clean, kitchen had enough plates, cutlery and glasses. Coffee, tea, powdered creamer, sugar were included. Bathroom amenities included soap, shampoo, a blow dryer, Kleenex, TP, 3 large bath towels, 3 hand towels and wash cloths. No lotion, no hair conditioner. No daily maid service but I believe you could get additional towels from the front desk. Pools and jacuzzi are closed. Before we left, we were asked to take out our trash and recycleables and load the dirty dishes in the dishwasher but not run the dishwasher. Parking was included for one vehicle. WiFi was $4.95/day (there were other rates for longer stays but can’t remember what they were). The facility was within walking distance of Vons, Stater Bros, Jersey Mike’s and a number of other stores. There are 2 fans, one in the living area and one in the bedroom. I would have like to be able to open a window, especially at night. 2 TVs with DishTV. DVD players attached to both. We didn’t bring or rent any DVDs so can’t speak to how well they worked. The balcony has a gas BBQ grill, a table and 4 chairs. Room 254 overlooks a grassy area. We enjoyed our stay and would stay here again.
