Bugs everywhere in units

The 2 units were filled with hundreds of dead horse flies and when we were offered another 2 uinits they as well were loaded with dead horseflies. Not the first time. Units were very run down and in need of many repairs. Would not recommend going there. Much nicer places to go. River Village II (not Ridge Top)

This was not our first Fall visit to Shawnee which is why we came back. Although livable, the floors and window blinds could have been cleaner. The blinds were not heavily stained but they needed to be cleaned better to get rid of accumulated dust and dirt. The carpets could have been vacuumed better as there was debris found in the living space and other stuff behind the end table in the living room. The tile floors in the bathrooms could have been cleaned better as well. I did not report it because I felt the resort was short-handed due to folks not coming back to work after COVID. I cleaned what I could but the blinds were difficult as I didn't have the right cleaning fluid. Also, the fireplace was not working as all the fireplaces were being inspected and cleaned. Couldn't this be done in late Spring and Summer when visitors aren't going to use it? Lastly, the downstairs bathroom is quite small and would be tight for a big person. Nice resort, time share push is too much

Would have rated this higher, but the check in push to buy a timeshare is over the top. You check in at front desk, and are then forced to go to the "concierge" desk to get your keys and parking passes. Joseph at this desk was border line rude to us when we told him we already had a timeshare, were not going to a presentation, and didn't want to waste his time or ours. He kept trying to convince us anyway, and then didn't program our keys properly so we had to travel all the way back to the front desk because we couldn't get in to our unit! The whole process is a real pain. Ridge Top itself is a good place to stay. Outside of the units have been upgraded recently and look very nice. Inside is indeed worn and old, but our unit was clean and had everything we needed. It is nice having a 2-bedroom townhouse with a screened in porch to stay in rather than an apartment. The pool, miniature golf and gym were all a good addition to the resort. The activities are basically non existant; we were given a calendar but then were told that everything was cancelled. New View

We have been to Shawnee before but never saw these units as they are Valley View. It was very nice place & quiet. It's a little bit far to walk somewhere but that area & it was hilly & there were too many steps for us as we ask for units with as few steps as possible as we have problems with steps. Unit was very nice but too many steps it was 5 steps down from the parking lot the you walked down a path to have to walk up 5 very tall steps which I tripped on the top step most of the time. We have been to Shawnee before but never saw these units as they are Valley View. It was very nice place & quiet. Keep looking ....

This is not an rci resort which should've been a red flag for me but Wynhamd has a good name for hotels and they should've stuck with that. This place is old, some face lifts just to try to make it look better but the units need new furniture, replace the indoor/outdoor dirty carpet, grass is overgrown, everything is just so plain and blah. Water pressure is awful.....just as my title says....... If you're looking for a place to stay don't stop on this "resort" because it is not a resort-just keep scrolling on and find a modern, clean and true resort!
