Buy Hilton

Honestly this is about the sixth BlueGreen resort we have stayed at. Full disclosure we own Hilton Vacation Club as well. There is absolutely no comparison. Buy Hilton instead. The Hilton properties have AMENITIES . There isn’t even a laundry on site. We are in Charleston and they refused to park our Ford Ranger because it is a “truck”. My SUV is longer than my Ranger. Strike one. Put us into an ADA room without informing us . Strike two. There are NO dressers. There are no closets, just a wardrobe. There is no room in the bathroom to put anything! It’s a sink and a shower and a toilet. No cupboards/little tables/cubbies….. The biggest problem I have with Bluegreen is their lack of response. We stayed at the Phoenix property last month and had bugs EVERYWHERE in the room. There was NO PARKING for us. How are we supposed to get our stuff to our room? We called twice and they did nothing. I am also tired of being harassed about buying more points when we just did a meeting in San Antonio this year. These points are not a good value. It cost us 9k points for 5 nights in Charleston? Awesome staff and accommodations

This was our first time at King 583 and while it is a super nice property (as BG properties should be) with an awesome staff (they had an anniversary card and gift for us in our room at check-in) we are too seasoned (old) to probably stay here again. Please understand that our experiences at check-in, with the valet, at check-out, all the interactions with the staff and everything in between was great (10 out of 10). The main reason we will mostly likely stay at the other BG property in Charleston is the nightlife near the King 583 property that can be heard until the wee hours of the morning. This did NOT occur every night but it did occur Thursday - Sunday nights. We fully understand that BG cannot control the noise level so please don't let that stand in your way of staying at this awesome property. Our owners review went very well. We saw the latest Lodge Alley room updates and had a good chat with the guys in the sales office. On a side note - the folks in the registration office are top notch also. We were in the market shopping and it was hot. I needed to sit and rest a few minutes so we went into the lobby area and they were so nice without knowing we were members. Unresponsive Staff

We had 5 issues during our 2 day stay that we reported to the front desk staff. The toilet was loose where connected to the floor, the message light on the phone would not turn off, the light in the closet would turn on and off on its on, the tv in the living room had a pixel out that caused a line all the way across the screen and the music in the open courtyard next to our bed was very loud. None of these issues were addressed by the staff during our stay. If you have to stay here, make sure to ask for a room away from the open courtyard. Satisfactory in more than one way!

The actual venue was nicely decorated, clean and obviously well managed. It had an overall new and slick look to it. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. We didn't get the names of all of them, but Amber was the person we talked to most right from the beginning. The maintenance gentleman was eager to please and followed thru with every request and/or issue we had. The rooms were nicely decorated, and the bathrooms were conveniently sized for two people to easily move around it. Above all, the kitchen was well stocked with all kinds of items, you wouldn't find in other resorts. As a cook, I welcomed the fact they had a 'cheese grater'? Wow, thanks. And glass bowls with lids! Some rooms did not have a stove oven, and those that didn't had a stove top only, but their microwave doubled as a convection oven. The sofa bed was even comfortable. Tip to management: The high chairs are stylish and needed, but something less bulky would have been more practical and more space saver. Fantastic all around

I can't say enough good things about this hotel! The staff were all absolutely wonderful!!! Even with the Covid-19 guidelines in place, each of them was pleasant and helpful with anything we needed. The valets worked very hard to make sure we had our car when we needed it, even at 5AM one morning. I don't say this often at all, but they went above and beyond for us without a single second thought or our having to ask. Thank you!!! Our room was beautiful and well equipped. The beds were so comfortable that my friend asked me to call to find out what kind they are, as she plans to purchase one as soon as possible. I cannot disagree with her. We enjoyed sitting on the terrace in the evenings as the day crowd dwindled and the nightlife geared up. When we were done, we merely went inside and closed the doors and the noise was so minimal and didn't bother us at all. Aside from not having a pool, we all loved this hotel and the employees!
