Wonderful vacation place, great views of lake Nahuel Huapi and the mountains

Montaña Resort is a wonderful place, located near to Villa La Angostura. On a mountain, the resort is an excellent place for a quiet vacation, with all kind of amenities as three swimming pools, a gym, restaurant, bar, common places for meetings and resting. All villas have view of lake Nahuel Huapi and the mountains. They are two level villas, with bedrooms and bathroom located in the lower level, kitchen and living room in the upper one. They also include a barbecue at each villa, and a balcony to enjoy the barbecue and the vies. There is, however, one problem. There has been no consideration for people with locomotive problems. Every place has to be reached by stairs, in common areas and in the units. Therefore, I think the owners of the resort should work out some solution to this problem. We are an elder couple, my wife has hard problems to walk and climb stairs, so in many cases we were restricted to access some areas, like the restaurant and others, because of the hard time climbing stairs meaned to her. Having a rental car we had great day trips around the area of Villa La Angostura. Visiting the Seven Lakes up to San Martin of the Lake, Traful Lake, and Bariloche, all which have beautiful scenery. At the resort you can schedule to use their private spa room for a hour free of charge. They also have someone who speaks English to answer questions and give advise if you need it Having a rental car we had great day trips around the area of Villa La Angostura. Nice stay

The resort is very well located. The unit is comfortable, clean and very warm. The furniture is in good condition. The staff is very gentle and polite. They have an efficient check in and check out. Comfy, cozy, great amenities... and heated floors!

Our suite was two floors with a beautiful view of the mountains from the top floor (which had dining room, kitchen, family room and outdoor patio with fire pit). The floors are heated, which was great in the winter. Convenient covered parking right next to the top floor, but there is a hallway on the bottom floor so that you don't have to go outside if you don't want to do so. We saw wildlife right outside our window. Rooms were comfy (even though the beds were a bit hard) and very clean and modern. We loved the amenities, including the pool, whirlpool that you can reserve by the hour by yourself and game room. The game room has ping-pong, a pool table and a traditional Argentinian game in which you get points by throwing heavy brass coins. The hotel is maybe 8 minutes from downtown but not too inconvenient as long as you have a car. It would be a real pain if you were taking the bus. There are some nearby restaurants... and you will want them because the one drawback is that the hotel's food is awful. The area is beautiful with lots of hiking trails. The ski resort is very close, and the ski lift operates year-round. You can't hike at the highest level in winter, but we had a nice walk around. Great Apartment Hotel for Family with Kids

We spent 2 nights at this small apartment hotel. The rooms are large, each apartment has it's own covered parking, kitchen, living room, diving area and balcony upstairs, 2 bedrooms and a full bathroom downstairs. The deck is great, with a table and private BBQ with view of the lake. The place has an indoor and outdoor pool, tennis courts and play room for the kids. The kids club is nice for the kids to play for a couple hours a day with a private teacher, arts and crafts, and games. Pablo at the front desk speaks great english and was a helpful and resourceful preparing for our daily excursions. We would have stayed longer had we know all this before we booked the hotel just for 2 nights. We love La Villa Angostura - it was much more relaxed & cute than Bariloche.
