Unexpected and Pleasant Surprise of a Hotel
Beach front hotel, walking distance to restaurants, bars, bus stop, taxi always available, safe neighborhood, Aurelio at the Front Desk was very nice and helpful, always very accomodating to our needs. we used Taxis Ejecutivos Acapulco and Angel Flores Acapulco for transfers and tours and they were great, honest, inexpensive and punctual, they were always available when you text or call them Beach front hotel, walking distance to restaurants, bars, bus stop, taxi always available, safe neighborhood, Aurelio at the Front Desk was very nice and helpful, always very accomodating to our needs. we used Taxis Ejecutivos Acapulco and Angel Flores Acapulco for transfers and tours and they were great, honest, inexpensive and punctual, they were always available when you text or call them

WONDERFUL VACATION IN THE HEART OF ACAPULCO
My husband and I vacationed at Mar Azul for a week over Memorial Day. We traded a timeshare week through Interval International without any issues. In 2018 we first came to Acapulco and stayed at the Vidanta resort (also through a timshare trade); however, we wanted to come back and stay closer to the heart of the city. Mar Azul has a fabulous location in the city center and you can walk or take a short taxi ride everywhere. There are hundreds of restuarants right outside your door step and numerous vendors selling very tasty local food on the beach. You really get a sense of regular Mexican family life by spending time on the beach in front of the hotel. The Mar Azul staff (front desk, maintenance, housekeeping) went out of their way to help us and the unit itself and grounds are sparkling clean. Our unit was on the top floor facing the ocean and had amazing views and breeze coming off the ocean. We only used the kitchen to make breakfast in the morning but it is fully stocked if you wish to do more cooking. We personally found Acapulco to be very economical as far as eating out even in fine dining restuarants. We wanted to get out and see some sights outside of the city so we booked a tour with ACAPULCOFORALL.COM. Sebastian Hernandez, the owner, took us to a farmers market and then to a unique archeological ruins site approximately an hour outside of the city. The tour was amazing and I highly recommend it. You can contact Sebastian through his website-he is very responsive to requests. I should also comment that we never had any issues with security or personal safety. We walked around the city at all hours without issue. The local people and restaurant staff went out of their way to help even though we don't speak more than 25 words of Spanish between the two of us. HAD A WONDERFUL TIME WITH FAMILY
We love to travel as a family as we are part of the vacation club, but this one was used as an exchange. First time in Aca Pulco and it was definitely a different but good experience. In Cancun and Puerta Vallarta, the area was more closed off for tourists. This was an experience where we were part of the busy city and culture. Hotel: The hotel overall was nice, pool was a good size with jacuzzi and was well cleaned every day. There is a balcony above the pool to enjoy the view with loungers. You walk down a few stairs and your right on the beach. It's not private but you have your own seating area with tables/chairs and bamboo umbrellas. The ocean itself was beautiful, and warm but the waves took some getting used to. There is a shower near the pool so that was good. Room: The room view was unbelievable. Large floor to ceiling windows in the family room with a balcony, and open kitchen. Appliances were very good, all kitchen utensils/cookware is there. We cooked and ate dinner almost every night in the room, some nights went out. We walked two blocks to an OXXO and were able to buy everything we needed there. We had two rooms, one with two twin beds and one room towards the back that was a large king size bed. Two bathrooms that looked to be recently updated with great showers. Tours/attractions: Plenty of tours available, save your money don't buy them in advance. We went on a few tours. There was one where we released turtles, another where we drove around the town and saw the church of Cristo, and went on the banana boat. The shuttle tour guide will come and pick you up. Everything is in walking distance and it was safe. Plenty of food spots, stores/mall and stores within walking distance. Very busy and bustling city, only thing that was tough and was a surprise was that many staff couldn't understand English. Even simple English words like do you take credit cards? Is this food spicy? And things like that. I believe companies should require at least one person on staff to be able to speak some English. It was really difficult/frustrating to communicate even the most simplest things. Overall great experience and would recommend. 4th time here. Great place!
Awesome place for a family and its extended members. It’s our forth time in a row visiting this place. Great personnel, good services and right on the beach. We’ll be coming again and again.
