No return for us.
Not what was pictured online. The unit was tiny. Kitchen had no prep area. I didn't cook any meals so that wasn't an issue. My kitchen on my travel trailer is bigger. We had no view of the golf course which we were promised. There was no handicap parking in front of our building. I was surprised to not see any folks using golf carts to get around. Couldn't walk to the restaurant so we had to take the car. No ceiling fan in bedroom and that is a biggie for me. Lucky, I carry my desk fan with me. The Villas just left me blah. Terrible
Horrible management and customer service. We have stayed at many resorts, and many Bluegreen resorts all over, and sadly since this experience will not plan to stay at one again. Too many other great options. We booked (2) one bedroom units at this resort. We were told well ahead of time that they would be right next to each other due to our family situation with kids, a baby and elderly, but of course when we arrived they were overbooked and the rooms were nowhere near each other. One of the two rooms was clearly not ready when we walked in and they had no other room to move us to. It looked as if the room was being worked on, and there was no soap or other basic things you would find in any room, such as the other room we had. Carpet was wet. There were multiple issues with that room during our short stay as we ended up leaving early. Looked as if they were working on that room and I don’t believe we’re even prepared to use it. They tried to offer us some things while we were there to make up for it, but instead we chose to check out early and the manager, I believe Melanie at the time offered us a return stay. We have called multiple times since to try to use the return stay and each time they would tell us the dates were no good or they would push us off. Now there is a new general manager there. We have called and talked to other assistant managers such as Marion and Sharon and they would continually tell us that the new general manager Mark Misty would call us back. It has been almost a year, we called in January to try to use this, called again in the summer discussing December dates, and now here we are in November still calling. One very nice representative in the office was actually able to read the old comments and see everything that happened and said it would be taken care of. After almost a year, Mark finally returned the call and was not very helpful at all. Says he was not there at the time and basically was extremely rude. Had no explanation for the lack of callbacks and when questioned on it, seemed annoyed, and basically said he wouldn’t do anything about it, despite being able to see the notes. Said it was too old, and suddenly he wasn’t able to see the original notes. When I asked him for information on who to make a complaint to, he said he was driving and would call me back. I haven’t heard yet, but I would imagine that’ll be another six months to a year. They really don’t care. Make promises while you are there to make it right, when they couldn’t provide the room. Then once you leave, they are unwilling to follow through on what they promised. Have enjoyed other blue green resorts from Miami to Orlando, Saint Pete, and travel all over regularly. Unfortunately, we will look at alternatives to any Bluegreen as there has been no attempt to make the situation right by the resort or customer service. Management extremely poor. Very Nice Property
We were here for a week to explore St. Augustine. WGV is a Bluegreen Resort and we are BG owners. We had a 2 bedroom unit on the 3rd floor overlooking the golf course. In each bedroom were 2 double beds and no ceiling fan. So if you want a king bed, be sure you stipulate this on your reservation. Front desk was never able to locate a fan to borrow. Luckily, it was cool and a fan wasn't a necessity. Resort had nice amenities, pool, workout room, clubhouse, and grounds. It is about 20 minutes from historic downtown and out the back gate was the WGV Hall of Fame. A nice resort and fun stay, There is a Buccee's across the street and that is worth a visit all by itlself. We were here for a week to explore St. Augustine. Amazing Resort and First Class service and Accomadations!
We were here for one week and used it as our base to explore St. Augustine and the surrounding area of its history and culture. Our well appointed one bedroom suite with enclosed balcany was immaculately clean, spacious and bright. The buildings were 5 stories tall with large elevators and stairs for exercise for those so inclined (as I was). They had a beautiful pool and very spacious hot tub. The front desk is serviced 24/7 and we found them to be extremely helpful in answering any and all questions. Ants and construction oh my
The suite was outdated. And we had ants, the desk did respond by spraying but the ants kept coming. Also there was construction above us in the attic space! They said they;d be done in one day, they were not. We finally just left and go reservation someone else. Waster of time.
