Best Resort to go to!

We Loved our week at this Resort! We loved the pool, sauna & hot tub! We saw three deer & a few rabbits at the resort! So nice! We had our own stand alone cottage. It was fully equipped with fridge, stove, dish washer, laundry and microwave. The only negative was registration. We had called about a week before our scheduled arrival to advise that we would be arriving two dates later than originally planned. Apparently this information was not relayed the registration desk. So they could not find our reservation. Eventually they did find it and we got checked-in. We were supposed to check-out on Saturday. The front desk called on Friday to say they expected us to leave that day. So apparently there was a communication break down between the Registration folks and the front desk. Mixed Review -- some negligence

We stayed in a cottage and had the romance package. Lovely location with the ocean breakers and a crackling fire. But staff locked us in the pool area at night. If you want to know about this, keep reading. After a relaxing meal on Saturday evening, we made our way to the pool at 8:30. We had checked that the pool was open until 9:00 and we timed our dip in the hot tub strategically to avoid kids (as we weren't travelling with our own, we just wanted a quiet dip). At the pool door, staff were a bit annoyed that we were going in and said the pool closed at 9:00. We checked our watches and said, "It's 8:30, and we just want to get into the hot tub for a few minutes, is that okay?" We were in the hot tub for about 10-15 minutes, go out and changed. But before I left the woman's changing room, my husband opened its door and said the lights were off. It was very, very odd to go out into the pool area in complete blackness. We went to the doors and tried to leave, but found that they were chained shut. We were LOCKED in the pool area! I didn't have my phone but luckily my husband had his. He phoned the front desk. The two staff who came down were quite concerned and unlocked the door. They couldn't understand why the place was locked up or why we had been locked in. We all checked our watches and it was only then 8:55 PM. We had been aware that the closing time was supposed to be 9:00 and we didn't want to impose on the staff or require them to stay beyond their expected hours. However, it appears as though they chained the doors shut at least 10 minutes _before_ the posted hour of closing without doing a sweep of the changing rooms. And they knew we were there. I grew up with a swimming pool and hot tub in the rec room of my house. I was well schooled on the risks of having a pool. Clearly the juvenile staff didn't realize any of the risks -- that if a child had been locked in...or if adults were locked in and inebriated...or if we hadn't had a cell phone (and might not have, because going to a pool you might not want to leave that sort of thing in the change room)...and with live music upstairs, who would have heard us? What those employees did by locking us in wasn't just weird or annoying or irresponsible, it was _negligent_ and the ultimate risk of such abject thoughtlessness could result in death. We've told a bunch of friends about it and the resounding consensus is that this is _not_ okay, and that we should tell our story in a review. White Point -- it's not okay. Terrible Resort

Every aspect of this resort was bad or needed work - Room - Ceiling Fans - so noisy that was could sleep and the Heat would not turn off - The handle on the toilet was broken - The real point is, it was never fixed even after I reported it. All amenities but the Pool was closed and not reported. Then there is the restaurant - sat 4 of us at a table for 2, service at the table was non-existed - Everything was bad, Food, Service! Amazing location!

Spent 2 nights at Whitepoint with my daughter. The location can’t be beat! We enjoyed sunrises over the ocean, stars at night, and walking along the beach. We were blessed with nice weather so we even went swimming in the ocean. We stayed in an older cottage and it was cozy with a porch with 2 chairs. The entertainment in the lounge was fantastic. Food was decent. Only complaint was the coffee. Would definitely stay here again. Spent 2 nights at Whitepoint with my daughter. The location can’t be beat! We enjoyed sunrises over the ocean, stars at night, and walking along the beach. We were blessed with nice weather so we even went swimming in the ocean. We stayed in an older cottage and it was cozy with a porch with 2 chairs. The entertainment in the lounge was fantastic. Food was decent. Only complaint was the coffee. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic Getaway!

We booked for the thanksgiving weekend. We had a lakeside cottage with a mini fridge and microwave. The buffet had just opened and the food did not disappoint. The staff was amazing. Tip well!! We showed proof of vaccination and were given bracelets to wear throughout the resort which was very convenient to not have show proof everywhere we went! The beach is beautiful and it was so much fun watching the local surfers! The GM, Dylan, is always visible and there if you need him. Booked their Christmas package and can't wait.
