Day trip worth it
We stayed here for the day. The staff people were really friendly. Cannot review the rooms but all other accommodations made this place a good place for the day. Side note : The water in the lake is the coldest I have ever tried. The sand on the beach is coarse and sometimes makes it hard to walk but the hotel is a must when you visit pucon. Stay for the view, everything else is a total downgrade.
When the pandemic becomes an excuse to provide the least amount of service, to customers in every single sense even morning breakfast. Alternate breakfast in and out, there are plenty of cafés around. You stay for the view, the swimming pool and the location, they do take serious measures regarding sanitization which is good. The furniture is old and not well taken care of... I give points to the bedrooms cleaning ladies, who are adorable, make a great job, every day in your room and you can tell they miss the old good days of this mythical hotel. Sad. BAD CLIENT SERVICE
We had reserved a room for 4 nights for our Honeymoon. Sadly we had an accident with our car in the middle of our trip and had to stay in Argentina until the car was fixed. Finally when we arrived at the Hotel Pucon told the woman who was at the reception about our accident and that we were really sorry that we had to cancel 3 nights due to this unexpected event (and that in our Honeymoon :( ) it was stressing. As we were talking to this woman she didn't almost look at us, just at her computer and when she did, she looked at us with a face like: I don't care at all about your accident and didn't said any word like: Oh sorry to hear that!. She had no empathy. She just ask us with a sharper tone in no friendly way: So, do you want to reserved?. And we said: Yes, we would like that (cause we already had 1 night left) and would like to stay 2 nights more. As we were finally going the way to the room, we thought that we never experienced such bad client service and then we opened the door and it was a really old bedroom.. I was shocked. I thought she could at least give us a nice bedroom for our honeymoon (and it wasn't at all worth the price!) Everything was old in that bedroom, from the curtains (in a dark depressing color), the walls, the mattress (not comfortable at all), the decoration of the bedroom was just depressing in general. Absolutely not what you would like in your Honeymoon. You cant excused her behavior thinking that she was stressed, because it was during the off season and it where just few tourists at the Hotel. We are absolutely not the type of persons that complains at all, but this was too much and I wanted to write this feedback for the next "clients". Good family size room but poor selection of food
Room size is good. Bathroom kept flood flooding after shower screen design( no fan faculty in bathroom for drawing out moisture) Not impressed with breakfast as it is the same food daily and hardly any vegetarian options such as rice / vegetables. No unsweetened yogurt( asked for it but was flatly refused). Decor of hotel in the main lobby and restaurant very 1920s. Feel of nostalgia. Have to pay extra for swim caps in swimming pool which is fine to prevent clogging of filters. At least the pool is warm and clean. Room size is good. Don’t book until it’s refurbished
Great location and friendly staff... but the all building is in pretty bad shape and the rooms are crying for refurbishment. Quality and variety of the breakfast are moreover disappointing and it’s quite difficult to sleep with the noisy bar on the beach close by. Unfortunately, the Enjoy brand who took over this hotel did not invest any penny in improving its standards. If you book there before it’s refurbished, you will only pay for the location... but nothing else.
