Bethel Inn excellent retreat.

The Bethel Inn continues to provide outstanding service, comfortable accommodations and beautiful views. There is golf on site in the warm weather and skiing nearby for winter sports. Not what it's cracked up to be.

The Bethel Inn is beautiful and we went on the off-season. However, expect to be charged for a towel exchange. The room we had needed maintenance. The lock would not open, the shower curtain had mildew and the room had a dated appearance. The Bethel Inn is beautiful and we went on the off-season. Out dated

Extremely friendly front desk staff, most of unit was extremely outdated. Unit was dirty thick dust on mirrors, items hanging over the beds. Broken windows, fireplace, no Internet, cable issues, broken towel racks. Bedrooms and bathrooms all located down stairs, living area up stairs not great with elderly and intellectual disabled individuals which we had both with us. Beautiful area if shops and locations were open. They promote year round but unfortunately not much to do and so many businesses closed. Pet friendly (service Dog) however then we were told the dog couldn’t go everywhere’s on site. Very disappointing trip arrived Saturday checked out Wednesday morning. Tired Inn - Nice Location

We spent 3 nights at the Inn in late fall. We wanted to tour the area and we did enjoy driving the local roads. We were disappointed with the Inn however. Our room was on the fairway, a drive from the main building. On a dark, moonless night, the map provided by the Inn was woefully inadequate as was the information provided. Fortunately my cell phone provided a satellite image that allowed us to make sense of how to locate the building. The living room was spacious and comfortable.The bathroom was quite small and outdated. The bedroom size was adequate but the mattress was quite uncomfortable. In general, the unit is in need of updating. We hoped to use the pool and health club, but our walk through inspection discouraged us from doing so. The exercise area was quite small for the resort size. We were there in off-season so only 2 people were using the equipment but in peak-season fewer than 8 people would be comfortable. The locker room was small and quite dated. The health club is a detached building so a locker room is quite essential in cooler weather. We did not eat at the restaurant though they did look busy on a weekend night. We enjoyed the area but will look for a less tired resort when we return. We spent 3 nights at the Inn in late fall. Nice resort

Nice resort. Clean, quiet, good location for outdoor activities. Beds were comfortable, bathroom very clean. TV in each room. Fireplace was lovely. Fitness center was nice, heated pool and sauna. So why 4 stars? A couple of worthy mentions: kitchen was well appointed but knives were in need of sharpening. Very bad. Wifi was not great. Outlets were in need of repair (loose). Finally , and most annoying, we visited the onsight tavern for happy hour. Good appetizer happy hour food, good wine and beer pours. However when a mixed drink was ordered the bartender watered it down. It was seen. Making money for the house or the bartender I'm not sure but as a bartender I know of this trick done to non locals and I said something. So wine, beer, good yes. Mixed drinks, no.
