Late Summer Getaway

Nice resort with lots of Ammenities. Underground parking. Great working AC. Double Jacuzzi Tub in Condo. Every unit has a BBQ grill on private patio. Activities. Pool/beach equipment to check out for day use. Unfortunately not every unit can have an ocean view. Mostly stocked kitchen. Only 1 pan, had to request another. Electric stove which takes some getting used to. Small TV's in living room & bedroom. Area; nice pool and Jacuzzi. Olamendi's restaurant is next door and also walking distance is Italian Restaurant, Sushi and Sunset Bar. Walking to the beach is not easy. Up 2 flights of stairs. Cross over bridge and down 2 flights. Overall it has been a nice stay as lots to explore in the area. Harbor. very nice

This is an excellent relaxed place with free use of almost any rec tools you want for the beach. the staff is excellent and the room 1 and 2 bedroom suites are spacious and well appointed. parking is also easy and plentiful. Nice location for visiting Southern California

The best thing about this Inn was the staff. The front desk and housekeeping staff were very helpful and attentive! The Inn is about a half an hour drive to Anaheim and about and hour away from San Diego (with normal traffic). The location is a great home base for exploring Southern California. It seems to be very deserted during the day so i think other guests were out exploring California and didn't spend much time during the day at the Inn. The Inn is located on the Pacific Coast Highway across the street from Capistrano Beach. There is a crosswalk right outside the property that leads to a pedestrian bridge to the beach. The beach across the street is pretty, however, it is quite rocky so we spent most of our beach time at nearby beaches. The Capistrano beach area north of the beach parking lot was the least rocky and best for swimming and playing in the sand. The Inn is nice and has been updated with new flooring and countertops. We stayed in a second floor, ocean facing room which had a great view of the ocean. The full kitchen was nice and we cooked many meals in. We did ask for a few more items to use in the kitchen such as a baking sheet and muffin pan and housekeeping kindly provided such requests. A hillside view would be very disappointing and half of the rooms face the hillside. In would definitely recommend calling to request and ocean view room. The resort is the old style (makes sense since it's clearly been there for many years) and rooms are accessed from the interior corridors. The Inn is solidly built which was nice for noise. We couldn't hear any other guests when we were inside our unit and only heard other guests from the corridors while walking to our room or the ice machine. The Pacific Coast Highway is directly in front of the resort so street noise is very common. Parking is limited to one car per unit. The parking lot is tight in space so larger cars such a full size trucks and suburbans/Yukons, had a tight fit. There are a few parking spots above ground but they were usually taken. The resort has a very small but nice pool and small spa. We only used each of these one time. Each unit has its own grill on the balcony and the grills were quite nice. This was a great feature. Sand toys, boogie boards, beach chairs and bikes/helmets are available for free to checkout for day use which was nice. The resort does charge a $20 daily resort fee which I found overpriced. No activities are being offered during covid which is understandable but the management still collects a full resort fee. It would be fair if the resort fee was reduced and management charging full fees is just annoying to all guests. Since it was covid, guests were responsible for trash removal each day and towel collection to trade out towels. At check-out, guests were given a list of cleaning to do which is always annoying especially when we pay a resort fee. Further, check out is early- 10 am- so checking out early so I g with a list of chores to complete is unpleasant. Management is saving money in wages, charging guests the same so appears to making more profit. Hopefully they are sharing this profit with their great employees because they aren't giving their guests a break. All in all, a nice location and place to stay if you are planning to get out and see California. I have included some pictures of the view from our balcony. A nice unit but dirty on check in

This is a great facility across the street from Dohenny state beach. The units are sizable and nicely furnished. The facility has nice Amenities the greatest being the beach across the street. Our biggest gripe was the unit was Not well cleaned. I could go into detail about food droppings left on furnishings And some other things but to what Avail? I mentioned this to the front desk, But there was no offers to send housekeeping in to address the cleaning shortcomings. This is a great facility across the street from Dohenny state beach. Spent a week while visiting daughter

We had an excellent vacation. We checked in late, and night staff were excellent (checked-in at 2am). We did have a 3rd floor condo with a hill view, but it was very quiet. Staff went out of their way to make you stay enjoyable. We did get to use the bikes twice, very nice location for biking. Enjoyed biking to Fisherman's pier. Much of the condo was remodeled. Everything was very nice, sure- there always room to pick on something, but the place was very clean... We had an excellent vacation.
