Oasis Marigot a wonderful retreat

We spent a week there and it was wonderful. It was was the most beautiful places we had ever visited. The mountain villa overlooked Margot Bay with the deep blue water and yachts at the marina. What a view! Doolittles resturant was at the base of the mountain and the only one open in that bay. But it was great and we had several meals there. We rode up to the villa on a lift which was a first for us and it was fun. Our trip included a sunset cruise with another couple, a snorkeling trip, a boat trip to Castries and basking in the sun around the pool. It was a very relaxing trip. The only negative thing that week was a bird watching trip that we scheduled with a guide named Vision. I think it was likely a scam. We had read a review that mentioned Vision so we called and scheduled a 1/2 day birding trip. Vision brought his girl friend and had no binoculars or cameras. We went to two nature preserves that were closed. He did not know birds. Vision drove like a maniac on those curvy mountain roads. To summarize I got one new bird for $180. It was a huge ripoff. Stay clear of Vision for a birding guide. Otherwise our stay at Oasis Marigot was wonderful. The facilities were nice and clean. The staff were great. I would highly recommend them for a get a way. Lovely getaway. Beautiful surrounding. Lovely Nature sounds. Clean and scenic views

These are really beautiful units. We stayed on #6. The view from the balcony is unbelievable. Please be sure to get your food supplies before you get there, that way you have enough of what you need for your stay. Also be prepared for stairs. For us, the stairs were not a problem at all its just good information to know, which the resort make you aware of when you book. I would stay here again. Wonderful resort and lovely staff. Amazing Resort - beautiful island

My husband and I spent a full week at Oasis Marigot and had the perfect Villa selected for us by the highly competent staff. Miranda was amazing. Our every need was met and the Villa was meticulously clean and in great condition. Sitting out on our balcony at night overlooking the bay - just chillin’ with some cocktails was one of our fav parts of the stay. Heads up: There are many stairs so if you have an impairment Pls make note of this.... but there’s a small trolley that will take you to the top of the property. Doolittle‘s restaurant at the bottom of the resort is delicious and the staff is also wonderful. The views from our Villa of Marigot bay we’re simply beautiful. we were so relaxed and so very happy with our stay. The staff set up with a driver to see the sights for a day and they even accommodated a impromptu boat trip to go see the Pitones. Other than those 2 excursions, we were perfectly content to stay on the resort. We were so happy with our stay would absolutely come again. Relaxation at its finest. Thank you Oasis Marigot. Beautiful Bay, Quiet and Peaceful

My wife and I stayed at the Oasis Marigot last week. The bay is serene, beautiful and peaceful. The sun sets exactly to the west of the bay, which makes for amazing views, especially of the sunsets. The property is built against the north slope of the bay and our views from our cabin were breathtaking. Please note that the only way to get to the resort is via boat from the landing on the south side of the bay. Our ferryman was Eric and he charges $5 per person in cash. The taxi from the airport to the resort costs $75, which also is paid in cash. With the world opening up from the pandemic, I pray that people will be eager to experience the beauty of Marigot Bay and the people living and working there that are excited to make your vacation an awesome experience! Pleasantly surprised at the relaxing time we had

We arrived at height of Covid lockdown and had been warned by the staff that we would be having to order food from their service 7 days prior and it would be delivered to our room for us. All restaurants were closed and we would be preparing all our own meals. Also, there would be no leaving the resort for land excursions. It didn't sound like much of a vacation but we were pleasantly surprised that we enjoyed the quiet. There were a total of five of us at the Marigot. We had the pool to ourselves when we wanted. The staff was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed chatting with our neighbor from our patios. Our room was Oasis #10 and it had a nice view. The lower level was the bedroom which had a/c and a ceiling fan. There was a mosquito net around the bed. The upper level only the fan. We would open the porch doors up and sit outside. It was quite comfortable. There was no TV but we found the internet was quite good. There is an unusual chair lift that took us and our luggage up and down the steep hill. It was a little precarious looking but we really appreciated the lift. It was steep. There is a small beach area with lounge chairs and a small boat transit that brings you to the resort. We weren't able to leave the resort but there was a small town across the way where the taxi drops you off. It had a shop or two and a bank machine but none of that was available when we were there. We did do one boat ride along the coast. We all wore masks on the boat - captain and assistant & us. It was a small boat with friendly local guys and we had brought our own snorkel gear. We snorkeled a little. The trip was about a 3 hours. The rest of the time, we were at the resort. You can also rent Kayaks and other gear by the beach. When we were leaving, we heard they were closing the island down even more. One of the other guests stayed on alone as the rest of us left. She messaged later saying she'd moved into our villa and was having fun with the friendly birds. They took baths on our patio in a little dish. They were quite entertaining. I would love to return sometime when I can actually explore the island a little. I suggest 2 weeks if you go. One week did not seem enough. It's probably not the fanciest place you could go but it is one of the more personal places where the people are friendly.
