Знакомство с Lake District

Номер был небольшой , но все новое, современное. Это касается и ванной. СПА , бассейн , часы их работы - все было как надо: с 7 утра до 22 вечера. Завтраки обильные и разнообразные. Минус: официантам надо было иногда напоминать о заказе (если буфета было мало ). Wifi был прекрасный, парковка рядом, территория в зелени и прудах. Номер был небольшой , но все новое, современное. Lovely mid week stay, special thanks to lovely Rebecca in Stoves

Our third and certainly not last visit. We absolutely love this place, we find the signature rooms more than comfortable although we have stayed in a riverside room for a social occasion. We've used the Brimstone spa before, at an extra cost, but this time we used the standard health centre which was more than acceptable for a quick steam and jacuzzi. Breakfast was great quality as always in the stylish stoves and special thanks to the lovely Rebecca who looked after us at breakfast who was very friendly and an asset to the hotel. Our third and certainly not last visit. We absolutely love this place, we find the signature rooms more than comfortable although we have stayed in a riverside room for a social occasion. Nothing special, lacking

We wanted to have a wonderful luxury experience in the Lake District and our travel agent reserved Langdale for us. While the restaurant and spa were more upscale, our room was very spartan and lacking. Parking was atrocious if you wanted to be close to your building. The place is just a wanna be. The ONLY recommendation I have is the lotion and shampoo at the spa is wonderful. Otherwise, a no go for us ever. Lovely hotel in glorious position

We are pretty regular visitors to the hotel on the Langdale estate and tend to come each November to miss the crowds. The hotel is in a stunning location with some brilliant and challenging walks and high peaks nearby. Our room was spotlessly clean, beautifully appointed, spacious and equipped with really good drying facilities, which were invaluable. The staff to a person, were helpful and friendly. The quality of the food at Stoves restaurant was very good, although the menu at both Stoves and Wainwrights was very limited, however this maybe due to COVID or staffing problems. Good not perfect

The good - staff across the hotel and stove Hotel friendly and helpful a credit. Served a few times in the stove by the very tall gentleman from Lancashire and a gentleman with the glasses, and ginger hair- sorry didn't get there names both where friendly and attentive. The negative, they hotel has to advise service is slow due and offerings limited to staffing levels. This is not a fault of the customer. An a delay is fine when explained. However one evening we sat for drinks and had long delay when eating in the stove. We didn't get our drinks until the food arrived. I don't blame the staff for this as above I think they where good, it's an open restraunt you can see they are working hard. Maybe if staff levels are low the hotel needs to limit room bookings or table sittings - management is not helping the team. Price point for drinks and food. Are high, an that was expected for a hotel. However the offering is not great. One draught larger and one draught ale. You'd expect (accept its personal preference) a premium beer not something like estrall and food above average pub grub options. The location is good and the hotel overall is good. Just the above slight impacted The experience . I would return and accept maybe some issues are related to the current difficulties with regards to covid recovery. Beautiful…but need to be a millionaire to eat here

What a beautiful hotel and spa…the indoor pool is great especially for families. It is ideally located for great walks in the Langdale valley….the staff are just lovely,the room great…would definitely return…..but the BUT…and it is a big BUT….look at the price of the food at the Stove restaurant…it’s shameful really….these are prices that you would expect at the Ivy in London or the Ritz….it’s all spoilt if you on a budget with kids….then again if you are staying here money is not an issue …why when you look at what is offered have they made the food so ridiculously expensive….look at the lamb for Two…it’s insulting…I could buy a whole lamb ! Their sister Inn is the Wainwights arms just up the road…a pub…look at those prices for a pub.. I saw the frozen lamb shanks being loaded off a delivery lorry once…..at the rear of the pub and had a chat with the driver…..do not for one minute it’s fresh and “home made”look at the price. The cheapest meal is a Cumberland sausage ring…look at the ridiculous price. It’s a real shame because I would eat here but not at Parisian prices in Cumbria. Staff…save this place.
