Don't go to Apa Pau Brasil! If possible go to another place! Não vá ao Apa Pau Brasil! Se possível vá para outr local.

In the first time, you will like the pictures, the marketing, and the place proposed concept. However, although the place looks nice, the employees do not have/work for a good customer experience, and the beautiful place starts to be not so beautiful as well. Besides, you should wait for many minutes to order some food. They are not polite when you request something, and if you pay for the all-inclusive package and start to order foods more than usual, (yes, if you intend to enjoy the Brazilian food you will have a bad experience here) they used to be lazy to attend to your request. In addition, the hot tubes are not hot and don't work well, the rooms haven't a good structure (the safe box doesn't work, the bed is too soft that hurts your back in the morning, and the stairs are not safe). PAY ATTENTION: there is a guy inside the hotel selling few touristic packages DO NOT BUY from him. This associated tourist assistant used to request a so expensive price for visit other beaches and islands in Rio de Janeiro. If you already bought a package in the Apa Pau Brasil (I feel sorry for you), go to Buzios downtown and look around for the others tourist assistant they have private transportation to meet you anywhere, you will save almost 30% in this negotiation. In a nutshell: Bad customer service, precarious rooms structure, you are not allowed to consume your food/drinks in the swimming pool, they sell expansive touristic packages and at least you will need a car if you want to visit the downtown and met others Beach by yourself. At least 4 star luxus

Perfect holiday spot with small, not crowded and safe beach which has also free sunbathing chairs with umbrellas. Place definitely should have more than 3 stars. Great rooms with stunning view on the beach, islands and ocean. Very comfy bed, high ceiling, huge balcony and great configuration of the room. Nice pool and has a place also for car parking. Superb breakfast. Private road to hotel is in pretty bad condition. Car parking could be better organized. Dinner options could be better as only buffet is available. Lovely Eco Hotel away from the bustling center of Búzios

For my first time in Búzios I wasn’t sure were to go or how to plan my stay, but the photos of the beautiful beach, Praia das Caravelas, that is actually the backyard to this hotel, sold me. And it’s a very beautiful beach - cool refreshing water, nice waves with a fairly strong tide (children will need close supervision), and beautiful surroundings. Also, there’s a restaurant and bar on the beach with friendly service and a comfortable veranda to enjoy the view. The hotel is reached by a bumpy, pock-marked dirt road a few kilometers off the main highway. Since APA means environmentally protected area in Portuguese, the dirt road makes sense. If you are wanting to spend time going back and forth to the touristic center, you might find the half hour trip to town inconvenient. However, the raison d’être of the hotel is to provide a getaway into nature and an escape from the rat race. They offer massages, yoga and meditation sessions, and guided walks through trails in the area. The pool overlooking the beach was warm as a bath and definitely the attraction for the many children of families staying there. The staff was without exception sweet and helpful. There is nothing more lovely than a warmly hospitable Brazilian. When I checked out and told reception staff how much I loved my stay, their happiness at hearing this was immediately apparent and absolutely genuine. There is an ample breakfast buffet, typical of the delicious spreads you find at Brazilian pousadas, and they also have a dinner buffet which is quite good. The dining room is a glassed-in veranda which overlooks the gorgeous beach, so it’s especially nice in the morning. My room was comfortable and clean. Due to a mix-up with the room type (we needed two beds and the original room had one queen-sized bed) we were immediately moved to the neighboring center for spirituality, where each room had its dedicated WiFi. My friends in the the hotel proper did mention that the WiFi was weak (non-existent) in their room, and the signal was moderately good in the dining and receptions area. On my Sunday-Tuesday stay there were quite a few quests, so the WiFi was slower when the dining area was full. My stay in Buzios included several days here and several days at a more traditional pousada in Ferradura, and the contrast helped me experience the charm of Búzios’s varied beaches and varied locales. I’m happy I did both and highly recommend Apa Pau Brasil. Good pictures bad service

Many things could be done different at this place to make the most of the one thing they have that is amazing: views. They staff (waiters and maids) are friendly and helpful but obviously the management has no clue what is customer service. They offer rooms with meals included but charge you astronomically for drinks and the food is a very basic and tasteless chicken, rice, steamed vegetables menu. The first night, if you arrive late, be prepared to go to bed empty stomach unless you request in advance... and they will charge you for a sandwich even if you booked an all-included room. The views are amazing but their location is far from everything. No easy access to public transportation either. Buzios is about 25 minutes ride in a car. They are being cheap and pretend to offer and charge like a resort. Be very careful at the beach bar. Their menu is blurry so they can charge you whatever they want if you are not careful. Birthday Week Stay

I love the hotel, it has an amazing view from the restaurant in the pool, from the pool and if you have an ocean view you would be very happy. Barbara at he reception was very helpful. If you are a yogui and want to find your place in the nature. This is the perfect spot for you and your love ones. I will definitely plan to come back in the future.
