Gulf Sunsets at the Vanderbilt Beach & harbor Clud

Beautiful view from our second floor room. There is another building across the street. I suggest asking for the gulf side. Staff helpful and friendly. Quiet atmosphere. Wonderful

I stayed here in June and oh my gosh, there was one day where I had a killer migraine and I didn't know about the construction until jackhammers woke me up working on the unit above me! The work was being performed M-F from 8:30-4:00. It was horrible being in the unit during those hours! So I spent my time on the other side, used the pool and hot tub on the other side, played games with my kids and watched tv in the lounge, went shopping and/or spent time at the beach. I lead with this because I saw all the negative comments about the construction. I have stayed at this resort over 35 times in units on both the bay side and the gulf side. My family has multiple units/weeks and over the years of visiting during our stays, extended family and friends have also purchased weeks at this resort. This is a timeshare condominium, i.e. every week is owned by someone somewhere in the world. Each owner pays money every year and for every week they own in exchange for partial annual ownership of their week. One of the things I look forward to is getting to the resort and seeing what updates have been done. Most years, there's some new furnishing or renovation in the units. Some years there's something substantial that needs to be done in order to protect all the ownership interests in the condominium, such as resurfacing the exterior walls and concrete patios. And I blathered and grumbled and complained this year (not to management because they don't have control over what updates the Association decides to do), but I know it will be done soon enough and next year there'll be something else that's new as well as a beautiful new facelift to all of the exteriors. You should always check and see if construction is scheduled during your stay at any resort you visit, not just this one. Construction and other potential inconveniences are NOT the norm at this resort, AND they should be taken for what they are: improvements and updates to make the resort better and safer. I highly recommend this resort a million times over. Pardon our dust, NIGHTMARE!

Major construction on bay side. Front and back of building under construction. Impossible to be in rooms from 8 AM to 4 PM, as back of building balconies are being jackhammered. Dust - can’t be pardoned, it’s EVERYWHERE! Some noise - nope -outrageous noise all day long! Units on bay side should not being rented during this phase of construction, should not be legal to have units rented with the amount of health and safety risks throughout the building. Beautiful location on quiet beach with great pools, rental items and fishing opportunities. Construction crew very polite and helpful. BUT bay building should not be rented during their current construction phase! Major construction on bay side. Front and back of building under construction. Worst vacation ever!

Would NOT recommend. This resort should be EMBARASSED by allowing guests to stay during major, MAJOR construction . JACKHAMMERING started at 8:00 AM without any prior notification. Scaffolding was blocking exit door, unable to leave unit. (Fire hazard) Stairways were blocked off. Wet cement droppings everywhere. The one restroom was block by scaffolding. Pool was closed. Pikes of debris left outside rooms. Windows and doors were taped up after outside lights and room numbers were removed. Holes could be seen in outside walls from the JACKHAMMERING/drilling. Manager did not extend herself to make any accommodations better. DISGUSTING! Dust everywhere. Floors were filthy. The noise level was deafening - could not watch television or make a phone call. We should have been informed and given an option. Worst vacation ever. Was like a war zone. Unacceptable. Never to return. Don't go here! Worst of the worst. Again the manager was of no help and should be embarrassed to allow quests to stay during major construction, Units should not have bee occupied. Terrible. Would NOT recommend. Vanderbilt Beach & Harbour Club

Very conveniently located within a few steps of the beach. Property being updated outside with some construction daily. Very clean units and well equipped. View was great. Loved the area and the ease of finding local places to dine and shop. Tons of fun things to do in Naples and surrounding area. Definitely on my return to stay list.
