Beautiful view, but that's where it ends.
So, getting up to the point of my stay was very problematic and frustrating. I needed to inquire about late check in procedures as my wife and I would be arriving after reception was open. I called the resort, the lady that answered spoke no English at all. I emailed the resort on 5 different occasions, even using a translator app to craft an email in Italian. The resort never responded. I contacted RCI 4 different times expressing my worry that we wouldn't be able to check in and the resort doesn't even check it's emails. Even though RCI always told me that "as a Platinum member, I could contact them any time for anything as part of their top-notch concierge service", yeah, not so much, not even a little. Every time I called, RCI was like "I don't know what you want me to do. Once you book, it's between you and the resort. We can't help you." My wife and I drove nonstop like crazy people to get there before they closed. The place was nice, very basic, but nice. The view was absolutely breathtaking, but that's about as good as it gets. The place has the most uncomfortable beds we ever slept on, we woke up aching and in pain because the bed was so rigid and stiff. There is NOTHING around the resort, no place to eat, no market to buy anything to eat, so come with food or you will literally starve. The bed was so uncomfortable, we got hotel rooms at other places we visited so we could get a good night's sleep. The kicker was, the resort charged us a 10 Euro per person "linen fee." Ok, fine, but they also charged us a 50 Euro "cleaning fee", then when we checked in, we were given a LONG list of terms and conditions that was longer than my rental car agreement, making us CLEAN everything, dishes, take out the trash, take the linens off and bring them to the office, etc. So, if we are paying that kind of cleaning fee, WHY THE HELL ARE WE RESPONSIBLE FOR CLEANING EVERYTHING?!? The fees were posted up front on the RCI website but they failed to mention we would have to do our own housekeeping after paying for a cleaning fee. Seriously questioning my RCI membership, and although it was a gorgeous area, we would definitely not stay again. So, getting up to the point of my stay was very problematic and frustrating. In Dolomites but not close to any facilities out of ski-season
Great views but you need to be driving a distance for any shopping or walks. Old, basic accomodation, staff helpful but only speak Italian. In this area you expect at least German if not English. Studio rooms do not have beds, only sofa bed. Great views but you need to be driving a distance for any shopping or walks. Old, basic accomodation, staff helpful but only speak Italian. Basic but comfortable accommodation in the Dolomites
Having read TA and RCI reviews our expectations of Casa Carezza were not very high. In addition, we were traveling with two 17yo girls so we decided we needed two units instead of one. After accessing the resort's website we did successfully organize an additional unit. The upshot is we were very comfortable in adjoining units with incredible views. It was the week before the Xmas holidays so the resort was virtually empty. The girls enjoyed snowboarding and we had a day trip into the lovely town of Bolzano/Bozen. We all had a relaxing time between a hectic stay in Venice and a long drive south to our next destination. Recommended if you don't need too many creature comforts and you like the outdoors and incredible scenery. A car is a must (preferably with snow tires or chains in winter!) Pretty Location in Italian Alps
We did a RCI timeshare swap we are Wyndham owners. This was the smallest timeshare we have ever been in. A Car is a must it is off the beaten path. It was compact, clean and had the basics to do some cooking. The best part is the Location we had a nice view of the Alps with snow on them we were here in October. RCI warns you there are fees for linens and we chose inside garage parking costs us almost $100 extra. Front desk couple have limited English speaking is a small challenge. You can order fresh bread each day that went great with our cappachino. The area is beautiful we were here in between summer and before major snow fall when ski season starts. Many restaurants in area closed. Found Bar restaurant in town where with help from friendly waitress got Free WiFi. Did a day trip to Bolzano loved the Tram to the top and village. Nearby restaurant translated Hen House has great food with an Austrian influence. We did a RCI timeshare swap we are Wyndham owners. This was the smallest timeshare we have ever been in.
