Right on the Beach

The Maverick Resort has done some fantastic renovations and is right on the beach. Sit by the pool and listen to the sounds of the ocean. Ocean Delight

a nice studio unit for 2 with a spectacular ocean view. Ormand beach is just above Daytona and is great for walking, (or running, if so inclined) Lots of good restaurants nearby. Love the Maverick Resort

We always enjoy our stay at the Maverick It is close to restaurants, and every room has an ocean view. At the present time they are going through renovations, but still it was a great stay. Staff is always friendly and makes us feel Welcome. Shout out to Kim, at front desk, always friendly, and Pam. activities director, great ladies. Horrible

We were supposed to check in today. Our room was not ready at check in time so we briefly explored the “resort” while we waited. While the staff was friendly, the Maverick was gross and not family friendly. The blue pool chairs were covered in a brown/ black growth, there was very limited seating space anywhere in the outdoor area- I mean like maybe a total of 15/ 20 chairs on the very small back covered deck? And the back deck and parking areas all smelled strongly of cigarettes and marijuana- so much so that my children started coughing when we walked thru them. We just left. Thank goodness Daytona has many other, significantly better options. I would not stay at the Maverick if someone paid me to. We were supposed to check in today. Relaxing on the Beach

The Maverick was very nice. The renovations were very nice. I do wish it had a queen versus double bed but we worked it out. The TV signal was out some days. Entire building was spotless for the most part. Water from pool goers gotten up quickly. Elevators busy at check-in but not so much at check-out. We did leave early though so that may have helped.
