Very peaceful but outdated

Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Here are the pros: The staff was really nice & helpful. We loved being so close to nature & found relaxation most days. We also loved that every unit has its own grill. Here are the cons: overall, the property is outdated. We really didn't like the size of the beds. They were double size when I thought they would be Queen size beds, however, that could've been my misunderstanding. We were on vacation for our baby moon & being 8+ months pregnant, the beds were too small for my husband & me. We were so uncomfortable that we left a day early. From our perspective, there were limited activities. Very few trails & not a lot for a couple to do, however, family-friendly activities seemed to be more abundant. The gym was severely outdated. The pool rules should be reassessed. There is a rule about no drinks within 3 feet of the pool (at the east side pool), which seems very strict for a couple on vacation, so we spent our entire vacation pool time at the west side pool. There are limited food options on property & in the nearby towns. We're super healthy eaters so struggled to eat well while there. Overall, we enjoyed our stay. Cabins do have 2 bedrooms, RCI data was wrong

The facility was great yet a bit used; but clean and usable. They have duplex, 4plex and standalone cabins. RCI insisted the stand alone cabins had 1 bedroom only, whereas in fact they are 1 bedroom and a loft with a bed, night stand and dresser. That is what we had wanted as we had stayed there before, instead we choose the duplex with 2 bedrooms which was very noisy due to inconsiderate neighbors. July Vacation

We loved the resort. The staff was great and there was a lot to do. Our two BR unit was wonderful and the beds (even the pull out couch) was comfortable. We had a great time and will definitely be back. We loved the resort. The staff was great and there was a lot to do. Wonderful

The staff was extremely helpful and nice. We made friends with other travelers because everyone is so friendly. The place could be modernized but it would not stop me from staying there again in the future. The staff was extremely helpful and nice. Kids Were Bored Quickly - Be Aware

Filthy and dated, but the people are super nice. Housekeeping was very friendly and went out of their way to assist. I cannot say anything bad about the employees. The resort is out in the Boonies. You have to drive a long way to find anything not golf related. The lake was closed, due to algae, so the only place for the kids to swim was a small pool. It was hot as balls outside and the kids didn't want to play putt-putt or cornhole for very long. I didn't complain. My heat stroke wasn't allowing for comments. I was thrilled to go back to the room. My largest complaint, other with how dirty the furniture and floors were, was the terrible layout of the 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit. If you're trying to cook or put up the dishes from the dishwasher, only one person can fit in the kitchen. If you have guests that need to use a restroom, they have to walk through the bedroom to get there. There is no separate access to the bathrooms. The main bedroom has no door to their bathroom, so privacy is out the window. I'm going to circle back to the people. With the exception of Mexican resorts, I have never had such nice, friendly and welcoming people working in an American resort. They really did their best to make sure our stay was pleasant. It's not their fault is was 1000 degrees that week. It wasn't their fault the furniture and carpets haven't been replaced in 40 years.
