Great Getaway
Right on the beach and a wonderful view of the ocean. Excellent accommodations. Good restaurant area. Staff was very helpful. Late check in was simple and efficient. Have stayed at this location three times and each vacation has been a delight. Right on the beach and a wonderful view of the ocean. Excellent accommodations. Good restaurant area. Disappointing Trip
Since this trip was on short notice, we choose a unit we thought would be sufficient from the units available. What we found was a dirty unit, including the dishes, silver wear, glasses and other. The bathroom was particularly dirty, not allowing us to use the bathtub. The tile floor had black spots. I could not have walked on the floors without shoes. watching staff disinfecting outdoor chairs, tables, and other it was unbelievable. ONE rag and a bottle I believe disinfectant that was used until the originally light rag was black. One positive part was covered parking. Spectacular!
There is a metal box with a phone in it by the entry door from the garage. The entry door is locked and requires a room key to gain access which is good. Use the phone to call the office on the first floor and Mary will let you in, take you to the office and check in. She's very nice, and helpful. We also met Nickie, the housekeeper, who was really sweet and told us that if we needed more towels during our stay we could just let her know. We didn't need towels but we did run out of trash bags and she gave us some. Our one bedroom unit #204 couldn't have been any more perfect. Nickie did a great job cleaning our unit before we arrived. It was spotless! Due to the coronavirus pandemic I had brought cleaning supplies and sanitized everything. Nickie probably already did this but we take extra precautions that a lot of people don't bother with due to underlying health issues. The bed was comfy, plenty of pillows, and blankets. Large closet and plenty of drawer space. Ironing board, iron, and safe in the closet. TV and DVD player in the bedroom. Stackable washer/dryer unit in bathroom. Soap powder, hand soap, toilet paper, plenty of towels and washcloths. Full kitchen complete with glass top range, refrigerator/freezer with ice maker in the freezer, microwave, dishwasher, toaster, blender, coffee pot, plenty of dishes, cookware, silverware, and miscellaneous kitchen utensils. There was a roll of paper towels, one trash can liner, 5 or 6 coffee filters, a travel size bottle of dishwashing liquid, 6 or 8 tablets for the dishwasher, a SOS pad, a soapless scouring pad, pot holders, dish towels, and dish rags. A small kitchen table and chairs was also in the unit. In the living room there was a couch, chair, and 3 ottomans (2 with storage), TV, DVD player, murphy bed, plenty of closet and drawer storage in the murphy bed unit with plenty of pillows and bedding in it. There was a spacious balcony with outdoor furniture and a drying rack for beach towels, swim suits, etc. There was a gorgeous view of the beach and ocean. They do ask that you keep your outside light off and close the curtains and blinds at night because it disturbs the turtles and hatchlings on the beach. There is no pool, but there is the largest hot tub that I've ever seen. It looked very clean too. There's even an ADA lift chair next to it. There's also tables with umbrellas and chairs in the hot tub (spa) area. You have to use your door key card to gain entry to this area. A beautiful, white sand beach is right over the dune behind the pool. It is a quiet and peaceful resort in a good location. Publix, a large grocery store, is about a mile away. John's Pass Village and Boardwalk is also a little less than a mile away. We will definitely check availability here on our next visit to Florida. A Return to Paradise- Florida's West Coast
We have been coming to this coast since 1958, and it just gets better each time. This resort is low key and very private. The units are high key, especially the 1BR units that all face the Gulf. Stunning sunsets each evening that we can never get tired off. The living room sofa needs to be changed out with new. All other furnishings OK. Excellent location and 2 bedroom was Spacious
Location of this resort is great with restaurants nearby and on the beach. Our unit unfortunately did not have beach view but it was well equipped and had everything we needed. Be aware that there is no pool. This resort has a large Jacuzzi and you may apparently use another resort for a pool, but not convenient. Sand is pristine and sunsets gorgeous. We will stay here again. Location of this resort is great with restaurants nearby and on the beach.
