Awesome Visit

We stayed for a week in May. The accommodation was great and the staff were wonderful. There was plenty of room. The balconies looked out through the trees,and we enjoyed sitting with coffee in the morning and watching the deer,and other wildlife. We will definitely be back. We stayed for a week in May. Spacious, nice location, out of date

The Lake Lure area is beautiful. The "resort" is only a few minutes drive from the lake, golf course pool/hot tub and other amenities, but there are no amenities on property.It is quite a distance from the town of Lake Lure, but we knew that when we booked it. The road to town is beautiful but very slow and windy. Our unit looked out over trees, which was lovely, except the air conditioning was so loud that it made it less pleasant to sit on the balcony outside and try to have an audible conversation. There were empty cans laying on the ground outside our unit which were visible when sitting outside. The room was clean and spacious with some updates (e.g. flooring) but the furniture and kitchen area were outdated and tired. I would consider returning since it was affordable through RCI and in a beautiful location, but I would certainly first see if there was another option available. The Lake Lure area is beautiful. Quite area Natural beauty and Golf.

Overall Resort very clean and Maintained. A Car a Must. Bring or purchase Food for unit as only two Dining facilities with in 15 minutes of resort. No fast Food chains within 35 minutes of resort. Golf is very good with 2 resort courses and 1 public course near by. All amenities 1 mile+ from units no walkable access. Overall Resort very clean and Maintained. A Car a Must. Way better then the reviews on here

I can’t believe all the negative reviews on here. Our rental had no bugs or critters inside. It was clean except for some hard to reach windows. I don’t understand those negative, whiny reviews. We requested an easy access unit and that’s what we got. No steps to get in and bedroom on the entry level. Nicely furnished but no sofa pillows. Plenty of linens and nice updates. POWER out

we stayed in the winter . The power went out for about 12 hours . No hot water , heat , power . The towns people said it happens often . So bear this in mind if you go . With that said Chimney rock was pretty cool . we stayed in the winter . The power went out for about 12 hours . No hot water , heat , power . The towns people said it happens often .
