Autumn colours are wonderful. Fuji had fresh snow and was clear. The path from the bus depot is along the lakeside path not the same side as the resort. The bus pass also includes both bus services locally not just the circular routes. Make sure dinner is sorted before 5pm as restaurants are mostly not open and buses are rare at night. Nice and quite place. English translations will be a big help.

As adviced staff do not speak English. I suggest they put labels on their appliances in English translation. Good that we have the Google translation and we were able to use it. In additon, we would have appreciate it if there were additional pillows, however, due to language bearer we were not able to ask if there are extra pillows. Overall we like the place just put a larger signage along the road to be able to find the place immediately. As adviced staff do not speak English. pleasantly surprised

if you must walk from bus stop, be sure & walk on the lake side where there is a wide walkway. the front desk was very helpful even tho they are only there 8-8. try & take food from town because room service food is not very good. best surprise after arriving on a rainy afternoon was waking up to a view of mt fuji from our room! if relying on bus, look into a 2 day discount pass. if you must walk from bus stop, be sure & walk on the lake side where there is a wide walkway. the front desk was very helpful even tho they are only there 8-8. try & take food from town because room service food is not very good. best surprise after arriving on a rainy afternoon was waking up to a view of mt fuji from our room! if relying on bus, look into a 2 day discount pass.

Local and fabulous!

By far the most friendly staff I have encountered on my travels. Great service and very generous! Even though its inland some of the best Sashimi I have ever eaten! Review: Fuji Yamanakako Hotel, Yamanashi

We have stayed in Japanese style room for 1 night during our Japan trip in Dec 2013. The room is quite ok. Bathroom is quite small as usual Japanese style. Staffs are also friendly. Dinner is ok. 7-11 is also in a walking distance. The location is superb as it is next to Yamanaka lake. If the weather is good, we can take a photo of Fuji mountain with Yamanaka lake as a foreground. We have stayed in Japanese style room for 1 night during our Japan trip in Dec 2013.
