What a Hole

This place charges you 23 dollars per night to Valet park or they make you park in the mud hole across the street and hike through the mud puddles to get back to the hotel. My room wasn’t ready when I arrived so I asked if I could use the restroom while I was waiting for my PREPAID room to be prepared. Clerk would not give me a key to use but insisted on escorting me to the bathroom. I guess I’m not truly checked in until I’m fully in the room. Although I didn’t use Hilton Honors to book this horrible place, my Diamond Elite status should have at least afforded me a card key to use the restroom. I guess that’s too much to ask in Hawaii. Which I will never ever in my lifetime visit again. Most horrific trip I’ve ever taken. Bar tender Scott is the worst

The bar tender Scott here is the worst I've ever seen. He literally ignored me as an Asian woman standing by the bar trying to get a drink. A few groups of old white guys/girls got there after me but he just kept serving them and completely ignored me. Even he said he will be right with me, the next second he turned to a few groups of folks arrived after me and ask what they want. I'd highly suggest him to put himself together and try not to have these blinds spots especially when he works in the hotel and entertainment industry. Overpriced Resort Fee and Poor Internet Connection

Resort fees upcharge is so common. At least hope to get some use out of them. $30 daily resort fee. This includes 2 drinks from the bar that are full of ice and watered down; free internet that does not work (see below); plus other activities that are no interest to us and not used. The wifi connection is ridiculously bad. Connect, use it for 5 minutes, no internet connection, forget network, reconnect, repeat. Tried this on iPhone, Android phone, iPad, computer. Same issue on all devices. Called front desk, and they did something so internet worked normally for an hour. Then issue came back again. Resort fees upcharge is so common. Not honst

I had a 5 day stay here. When I checked in, the recepist did not mention, nor gave me the 2 daily drinking tickets that should be included in the resort fee. When I found out and ask a refund for the drinks I already paid, the recepist refused. Contact to the Corp office was not useful. Not an honst business practice. I had a 5 day stay here. Great Property, Amazing location, Excellent Staff!

Our entire family really enjoyed this property and its close proximity to so many of 'The Big Island's attractions'! Less than an hour from the Volcano's National Park, and the town of Hilo is a true Hawaii'n Gem!
