Snowland Fun

We used to come to this location once a year, but haven’t been here in a couple years. We came with extended family for a Snowland weekend. The day before we checked in I got a text saying the Howling Tornado is closed for maintenance until the end of February. Not a deal breaker, but a big bummer for our older kids who had been looking forward to it. Friday the waterpark attractions were very limited, with limited staff to manage rides. The wave pool was also closed because the water heater was broken. This made the water for the wave pool and slides in that room very cold for the entire weekend. Saturday most everything was open, but there were very long lines. Aside from that, the staff is really trying hard to make things great for families. Every staff member was extremely friendly. Check in was fast and efficient. The kids’ activities were fun. Vaughn, who was leading the dancing at the dance parties deserves a raise! Going into the stay knowing things would be impacted by a lack of staff, we had a better stay than we expected. Thanks GWL! Dirty room, understaffed, no hot water, poor experience overall

We remembered the Great Wolf Lodge fondly from a visit 10 years ago. We decided to go again, a short vacation with our 8 years old and our older daughters. The place was not as as remembered and we had a poor experience. The room we received was dirty. Cheetos under the bed, skittles on the carpet next to the bed, candy wrappers in different places. The room was clearly not cleaned well before it was turned to us. The hot water in the shower were warm - not hot. Not such fun to shower after a day in the water park. The heating was so loud, every timr it turned on during the night it woke us up. The place is clearly understaffed - many rides were closed and were opened on a rotating system and the rooms are not getting cleaned. They say it's because COVID but this does not happen in other hotels. For over $900 for two nights (2-bedroom suite with 5 people), we expected much (MUCH) more. Fun, overpriced, lots of bait and switch tactics

Came here with 2 kids (ages 3 and 5) during November. I didn't particularly enjoy the park but my kids loved it and I knew that they are the target audience. Some of the tactics are a bit shady, though. Food is very overpriced; its better to bring your own food in or go out to eat. The arcade is very overpriced; a round of skeeteball costs $3 after you covert their "paw points" to actual dollars. They sell Paw/Wolf passes which can give $5 towards the arcade, which happens to be 1.5 games. I'm sure that number was chosen so your kid would get just a taste for playing their arcade and demand to spend more. Go to Moosejaw and they have a better arcade downstairs at a more reasonable price. Our 5 year old liked the Magiquest game, though you need to pay for add-ons and extras to make the game more playable. In both cases it feels like want you to buy some package but you'll really need to spend more money to make it worthwhile, which is why it feels deceptive. It got to the point where I started questioning everything there and whether they were manipulating us to squeeze every dollar out. For instance the air and water temperature was colder in the morning compared to the evening. Was this so we would be more hungry and willing to blow more money on lunch? In the evening (after dinner) the park was more humid and water warmer; was this to make us tired and get us out more quickly? Maybe it's coincidence but the fact they are so brazenly trying to squeeze every dime out of us caused me to entertain those thoughts. I guess I should expect to be manipulated out of my money since everyone else does it but I would appreciate it if they tried to be more subtle about it. Great family resort!

You'll love the waterpark, the food, kids love the arcade. The rooms are large and clean and comfortable. The waterpark is huge! Near to other activities in the Dells.The lifeguards are very attentive and the food service people are very polite. You'll love the waterpark, the food, kids love the arcade. Okay but nothing spectacular

Rented a condo for a week-end visit with son & family after 2 years apart due to covid. Granddaughter is 4 years old so easily entertained. We planned activities off site and returned to the resort in the afternoon for a few hours at the water park. This worked well for us but might not for others who plan to stay on site all of the time. We did not eat any meals at the resort. The condo was clean and we have no complaints other than the noise from the highway which we should have figured out before we booked the condo. Price that we paid per night at the condo might be worth it if you had several children in your party and did not plan to leave the property. For us, $450 per night for 4 adults and 1 four year old seemed a bit expensive since only 2 adults and the 4 year old used the water park a total of 4 hous over a 3 night stay.
