Worst family trip ever

Worst family vacation ever! We stayed at the one in California and it was so much better. Bigger and more to do. First of all I paid for all of the highest packages for my daughter's birthday. They said she would get a build a bear (main reason I bought it). Get there, make a bear and they tell me it is no longer included in the $70 package! But the $50 packages include it. Then they call me at 10:05pm about a noise complaint. I have a baby sleeping in a pack and play in my room. We are sitting in the dark watching TV in an inaudible level. All night kids are running down our hallway and many have knocked at our door for fun. I didn't complain. The call wakes up my baby, still awake now several hours later. They don't apologize, but say their "security" said it was us! Either your walls are too thin or they need their hearing checked. No empathy for my baby being awaken by the call. What a joke of customer service. Not baby or toddler friendly. I will tell everyone I know not to ever visit this location. Halloween Weekend

I scored a 3 based on my experience at this lodge. It was my first family outings with our three year old and my daughter who is 11. Our first room we had to be transferred out of, none of the electrical outlets worked. No phone was in the room to contact the front desk. We were switched rooms and our three year old son found and open package of gummies that contained marijuana/THC Could you imagine what would have had happened if our son ate what was in that package? Very scary! Why wasn’t the room properly cleaned and checked? We were told that we would be credited back that days stay for the inconvenience. We went to the restaurant on the second floor and we ate dinner, my son had the macaroni kids meal and literally twenty minutes into it he got really sick and threw up. The wait or seen what was happening, instead of saying let me get some napkins, water maybe even a trash can I hear him call someone saying we need house keeping to dispose of this plate. I had to ask for a trash can I told the gentlemen that I would clean it up. I understand protocol with Covid but you could have waited to jump on a phone and simply got us something like napkins water or a trash can. DAY 2 of our final stay, went a lot better! Until it was time to sleep.. the people above us was playing loud music, thumping, running around until almost three AM. They were spitting down onto our balcony and had the audacity to say oh I’m sure you don’t want spit on you, my bad. I scored a 3 based on my experience at this lodge. Such a nice time

The check in process was on our phones, made it very easy. The room could stand an update, and the bathrooms are VERY small. Overall a very nice stay, and my daughter really liked the magic quest experience. Really nice that full tables are in the rooms to eat on as well. I also liked how quiet it was, one of the better experiences with that. The arcade is huge, and the water park was really fun. Lots to do! We would definitely recommend. Halloween visit

We spent two nights at Great Wolf in Sandusky. The hotel was clean and the kids activities were well organized. My family had a great time. The Halloween activities were a nice touch. We were a little disappointed that various parts of the water park were closed throughout our visit, the lazy river and the main play area were shut off for large portions of our time in the water park. I'd like to give a special shout out to the woman at the towel counter in the water park. She was on top of things and helped us out when we needed a bandaid for one of the kids when he scraped his foot. We spent two nights at Great Wolf in Sandusky. Just a poor experience

Our family loves visiting GWL. But this time was just really really rough. Any hallway you walked in smelled like a public restroom. The rooms were clean and didn’t smell. But the second you opened your door you were hit with the smell of urine. Housekeeping left their carts in the hallways all day/night. We were able to check in early. Which we loved. At check in there was a bag of what I thought was trash outside or room. Housekeeping was still working in the hallways so I assumed they’d forgotten it and would pick it up later. We went swimming and came back to get ready for dinner and found the bag hanging from our door. I called the front desk and asked them to move it. We came back and it was there still. So I waited until morning thinking maybe they were too busy to get to it. It was still there in the morning. I went to the front desk and mentioned this. We’d added a second trash bag which was picked up. But not the original bag. I ended up having to track down what I assumed was a supervisor in the halls checking on housekeepers. When I explained what was going on and that i just wanted the bag to stop being hung from our door. Our tripping on it on our way out. And that it was here probably before we ever checked in. It wasn’t a problem but the more I have to ask it to be taken care of is starting to get really frustrating. He said “this isn’t trash” I said oh. Well it is in a trash bag and looks like trash so since I didn’t inspect it. I assumed it was trash. After some back and forth he took it and apologized. My biggest pet peeve is having to repeat myself. So it ended up being the joke of our trip. But was just really really frustrating. Our family loves visiting GWL.
