AVOID!! Disgusting!!!

It was filthy. From the dirt-encrusted pools and dilapidated condition of the water park, to the lack of cleanliness in the hotel room, it was a truly disgusting experience. 1. A previous guest wrote their family name and a message using bath markers on the bathroom wall. It was not appropriately cleaned and clearly visible. 2. There was dirt and mess on every floor, everywhere. Stairs appeared not to have been vacuumed and had the same trash on them from one day to the next. 3. On eight occasions, we picked up a plate and found it to have encrusted food mess on it. On five occasions, our wrapped silverware had the same. 4. Standing in line for dinner, I witnessed a kitchen employee dip her gloved right pinky finger into a vat of what appeared to be mashed potatoes, lick said finger, rinse it quickly then went back to stirring grape tomatoes and mozzarella WITH HER HANDS WITHOUT CHANGING GLOVES. 5. The condition of the waterpark was abhorrent: stains all over the floor, visible filth in the pool floors and sides, unkept restroom near the hot tubs - which could not be enjoyed due to the overwhelming smell of urine wafting from said bathroom. There was visible, crusted dirt on all of the slides (yes I went on and checked them all). There were gaps in concrete on stairs, loose railings and lack of appropriate drainage.The cabanas we rented didn’t have half of what was advertised and the blue couches were visibly stained with a white substance and were wholly unkempt. For the amount of money spent and based on the high rate of occupancy, I cannot fathom why the place doesn’t care for basic sanitation. It was filthy. Day Pass Fun

I got a day pass online for the 3 of us and it was 70 dollars per person because we went the day before Thanksgiving! When I checked a few weeks ago before it was only 30 dollars per person. So my advice buy early if you know your going. That was my mistake to save some money. Someone who lives in the area told me they didn’t know they sold day passes. Well they do. We had a lot of fun. There is plenty of activities to do there in the water park for all ages. Next time we go we might stay at the Lodge. Fun weekend with a few downsides

We visited Great Wolf to celebrate a birthday weekend in November. I was emailed a few weeks prior asking if I wanted to "add-on" an early check-in for 10:00am, and I applied for this. I called the lodge the week before check in to see if this was approved and they said they cannot guarantee early check until you come to check in....so I'm supposed to check in at the normal time of 4:00pm to see if I can check in at 10:00am? This option is seriously flawed..do not offer early check in to your guests if it is not even possible. There was only one working elevator during our stay which was quite inconvenient since we had a stroller and had no choice but to wait, and almost every meal we had there was served cold, which was frustrating because we paid over $50.00 for a cold breakfast one morning...On a positive note, the room was clean, the water park was fun and offered warm towels, and there were lots of activities for the kiddos. Lockers in the water park were $15.00 to rent, and they were very strict about the mask policy and most of the restaurants were carry out only. Spent $50.00 at the arcade just to get two little keychains we could have bought at the Dollar Tree, the games cost a lot of tickets/credits and you couldn't get much for prizes. Fun getaway

We booked this resort because of the great price they were offering for the Holidays. We were very excited to stay here and enjoy the water park but our excitement turned to a sense of dread after reading the recent reviews on here. Our rate was non refundable so we were definitely going. I usually check reviews but didn’t take the time to, lesson learned. We arrived expecting to find a dirty resort with smelly rooms and non operational rides in the water park. However, what we found was a beautiful Lodge with friendly staff members and a great room that was clean and smelled great. The water park was clean and not overly crowded. There was only one slide out of service and the lazy River was running. We enjoyed our overnight getaway and have no regrets. Great MASK Lodge

This place is mask central! If you want a “vacation” that feels like jail, this is the spot. It’s beyond ridiculous that at this point, with a vaccine, a 99% survival rate, and the fact that people electively choose to come here knowing the inherent risks of contracting any communicable illness that they’d enforce masks to the extent they do. We had a staff member, Nicholas, HARASS and FOLLOW us until we left the building bc we didn’t wear a mask while we were LEAVING the building after we had checked out. Not one staff member is friendly!! It’s ironic of GWL to enforce an overreaching policy in the name of “health” when the cleanliness of their facilities leave much to be desired. Their floors haven’t been vacuumed in weeks. There are multiple areas of the water park that are dirty and in need of repair. The water is cold and the “hot” tub is lukewarm at best. This was our 3rd time at GWL and we will never be back! It’s overpriced, is obviously an American last company seeing as they house Ben & Jerry’s which we will never support. This was not a vacation at all, and I recommend to anyone looking for a FUN time to please find somewhere else. This place is mask central!
