My family Had a blast
The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and the service was fantastic. My family had a blast, kayaking and enjoying the beach and the pools. The beds very comfortable and the air-con was heaven sent. The foods at the restaurant was delicious quite pricey but to be expected. If I'm in Savaii again I'll be back still at the non peak season tho because it was nice and quiet. The atmosphere was beautiful, the staff were very friendly and the service was fantastic. The perfect place to do nothing!
We booked two nights at Stevenson’s through Bookings.com. The views here at Stevenson’s were wonderful and the water the clearest aqua blue you can imagine. The pool area was clean and relaxing. A perfect place to read a book and sip a drink. We stayed in a beachfront bungalow falé with an en-suite bathroom and huge shower. We had our own patio fully covered with a small clothesline and seating for two. Great place to sit and read and enjoy the sea breeze. There was a bar fridge in our en-suite and toiletries were supplied. Beach towels and bath towels were supplied too. Daily housekeeping is part of the deal. The room had modern air-con and ceiling fans. We kept the aircon on low to reduce the humidity but we kept the louvres open to hear the waves lapping. So relaxing! This really is superb absolute beachfront accommodation. We were in Falé #1. The only thing that bugged me a little was that all guests walking through the resort passed by our falé so there’s not a lot of privacy unless you close all of your curtains. You might like to lie in bed and look at the ocean but prepare for the odd neighbour or two walking by! Another small thing was the bathroom could have been cleaner - a touch of bleach wouldn’t go amiss! The water is literally at your doorstep (just 10 small steps down to the white sand). There is shade from the trees on the beach so you stay cool. It’s best to swim here wearing reef shoes or Crocs so you don’t hurt your feet as the sand in the water is ground coral reef. There are free kayaks to use and organised activities each day except Sundays. A board with more info on these was in the dining room. Breakfast here is pretty basic - toast & condiments, fresh local fruit, cereals with long life milk, traditional Samoan buns soaked in coconut milk and cheesy toast with Spam sliced on top. We ate lunch and dinner down the road at another resort as we fancied something more substantial. There is also a great local pizzeria just 2 mins away from Stevenson’s which came highly recommended. Picture perfect and extremely welcoming!
We returned, and we loved it just as much as the first time! We have not long got home from our 2nd holiday at Stevensons and we have come home with an array of beautiful memories and a full memory card of postcard perfect photos. This magnificent resort has it all! The resident turtles, just a stones throw from the villas, are always happy to have you swim alongside them. The sunset from the bar area is a view that will never get old! But most importantly, the staff are the most welcoming, accommodating and friendly people! They really go the extra mile to make sure your holiday is as good as it could possibly be. It was so nice seeing some familiar faces from last year and meeting the staff we hadn’t met before. A very big thank you to Leo, Leleiga, Tana, Josh, Bella, Lani, Kisa, Eileen and Lena whose friendly, smiling faces always had a warm welcome for us and made sure we never went hungry or thirsty! Mona and Rebecca helped keep our stomachs full with a great selection of delicious food. The wonderful Silia and the cleaning team ensured we had beautiful, fresh rooms to stay in. There was never a question unanswered or unresolved with the lovely Leala and Ariane on the job! I highly recommend Stevensons at Manase and very much look forward to returning again one day. Thank you to everyone working behind the scenes as well. It really is a little piece of paradise, so thankful to have found it! We returned, and we loved it just as much as the first time! Relaxation and beauty!
We went here to have a relaxing do-nothing few days to start our trip, and that's exactly what we got. The pool & beach are extremely clean, gorgeous, and so refreshing. We enjoyed the room (we had a beachfront view), it was well kept and air conditioned. The staff was friendly and helpful. The food was great - lots of ppl told us samoa doesn't have the best food - but we disagree! Lunch and dinner at Stevensons was brilliant - every meal delicious. Breakfast was a basic continental spread, but you could order eggs if that was not enough. One day we hired bikes and went for a little ride, great! They also had cars for hire if you want to explore further. It was quiet in October, although clear the resort might get busy in other months. The travel (ferry + 45min car) was a mission to get to them, the only draw back. Thank you stevensons for a rejuvenating stay!
