NO AC AND OUTDATED

Came here in August 2021. We already know that Hawaii is hot a humid. It's even hotter and way humid in August. It was very hard to sleep since I kept waking up to my own sweat. Fans are available but the fans are outdated. This whole hotel/condo is outdated. The walls, furniture and the countertops are from the 80's. I saw old pictures from back in the day and they still haven't updated it. The towels were serrated because it was probably from the 80's too (jk) but probably because its been used so much for so long. We had a couple 2 bedrooms on the 3rd floor. My whole family couldn't stand it there either because there was no AC. The bathrooms had no window and it gets hot in there. Imagine no AC + humid in the bathroom. The pool looks like a big spa which is sad. One good thing about the condo is that we had a nice view of the ocean. You will have to walk a couple blocks to go to the beach access. No AC

The 2 bedroom unit was spacious, however there is no AC. Even with the breeze coming from the ocean, the unit was still hot, specially in the 2nd bedroom because that bedroom was not facing the ocean. We had several problems, the spout in the 2nd bedroom just shot out of the wall one day, the dishwasher stopped working after being used once, the refrigerator door parts would fall out every time we would open the fridge, the remote in the living room did not have working batteries and it took me 2 calls to get batteries replaced, the closet where the trash was smelled pungent. the screen door locks did not work, and finally, noisy neighbors that were out in the pool making a lot of noise at all hours of the night. Maui, FINALLY

This was our first time staying at the Honda Koa since our purchase and we couldn't be happier. The view from our lani, and bedroom were spectacular. A little bumped the the steps to the beach had to be removed, understand why, bit Beach access was just a few steps away. First time staying on this part of the island, we have another place in Kihei, and really appreciated being closer to Lahaina and Kaanapali. If you have the chance to stay at the Honda Koa, DO IT. This was our first time staying at the Honda Koa since our purchase and we couldn't be happier. The view from our lani, and bedroom were spectacular. Pest Control!

Completely unacceptable. Randomly show up without proper warning at 1pm to spray pest control all over our belongings. Our toiletries, our 4 and 6 year old’s toothbrushes, our suitcases and clothes. Then banned us from our room for 2 hours during nap time and ruined the rest of the day/trip. Despicable. This inconceivable inconvenience to save themselves a service fee to not do this in between guests during checkout, we only paid $5,500 for our two bedroom Ocean View Suite, pathetic. Great place with fantastic view!

Our room was a 2 bedroom. The master bedroom had an ocean view with porch door to the balcony. We had lots of air flow and ocean sounds with which to sleep. The resort provides a large number of dishes. All the appliances worked well and were clean. The second bedroom didn't have as good airflow. The bedroom did have fans though. An air conditioner would have been more comfortable. The location is great! Great neighborhood with a beach park just down the road. A local grocery store was less than a mile away. Several local eateries within a mile. We would go there again. Our room was a 2 bedroom. The master bedroom had an ocean view with porch door to the balcony.
