Enough! Get the price point right and we'll talk again!

Spent two nights at this unit complex. The room was dirty (most especially the carpet), the furniture tatty (my wife refused to sit on the filthy couch- yes you have to replace the couch once a thousand people have had sex on it!), corridors smelt of rubbish and were not air conditioned and the ceiling in the kitchen had a wet patch and the paint had flaked off around it. To add insult to injury the place wasn't cheap. Basically, I felt the unit was worth about $110.00 per night, if you pay more than that (like I did!) you're getting ripped off. I know that Covid has hit the hotel industry hard, but there is no excuse for the poor standard of accomodation that was on offer here- especially when it is provided by a company that is a major player in the industry. This is the second time recently where I have spent time in Brisbane in sub-par short-term accomodation. It is obvious that owners are trying to 'make-up' for the money they have missed out on over the past year and a half, in this case by failing to maintain the unit to a level that matches the 'price-point' charged. If motels and units are dirty, dangerous places it really is time to stop travelling and spend your money on something more productive and pleasant. Spent two nights at this unit complex. Cheap, disappointing

Unit 2801 was in a poor, disgusting state, making our stay uncomfortable and not enjoyable. The kitchen was poorly equipped, the bathroom dirty, cupboards doors not closing, the bed pillows and doona smelly and dirty, no shelves available for clothing storage, the only aircon old and making noises, uninviting inside and outside furniture. Hotel very close to CBD

I-Stay is in very easy walking distance to the CBD, been Street Mall, Casino, shopping and loads of restaurants of all different cuisines. Bad from the start.

Unfortunately, I was given keys to a room that had not been cleaned, I was moved to another room, but on my return to the property late at night I was unable to access the building, my key didn't work. Eventually, I was given another set of keys that allowed me access. A stay to forget. Room 1701

I was first sceptical when I walked through the front doors to check in. The are felt clinical and not very inviting. When we got to the room the first thing I did was inspect the place and I was overly impressed with the cleanliness. There was an old mask on the balcony, drool stains (I think) on one of the pillow cases and food in the bottom of the dishwasher. The glass panels on the balcony were very dirty and the bathroom bench seemed dirty. There was also no floor mat to stand on for the shower so I had to use the towels to clean the water off the floor. Overall the stay felt very average. I probably would have spent more money of there was more services on offer but nothing was really presented to me.
