Very Nice

Our condo was very nice. The space was great, very clean. We used the grill, had coffee out on the dock watching boats . Close to public parks a d walking to restaurants. Parking situation horrible if you have more than one car

First I want to say April at the front desk was amazing. Very nice and accommodating Why I rated this a 3 is the parking situation. We had a 2-bedroom, which sleeps 6, and was told when we checked in only 1 vehicle per unit. I stated we are sharing this unit with another couple and they stated “no exception” . I said but you state the unit sleeps 6 and only 1 car per unit? A man, who stated he is the one that monitors the park lot, advised if you don’t have a parking pass after he scans your car, you have 1 hour to move your vehicle or it gets towed. He said the tow company “automatically” get notified. Sounds like a money scam to me. He continued to say it was because of the holiday weekend (we stayed over Labor Day) and the parking lot gets full. As you can see from my picture I took at midnight Saturday, the lot was empty. Beware, this is a scam to make money. We had to park a mile down the road at a boat ramp. We worried about our brand new SUV the entire 3 days. PARKING NIGHTMARE (Maintenance declining)

Our family has been coming to the Barefoot for several years and love this place. This year was totally different and will not return again. April at the front desk is the best thing about this place. After we arrived and got our paperwork, we were unpacking the car when a guy came up with a scanner and said something about not having a parking pass on dash and he would see me later or something to that effect. My son who had another 2 bedroom nearby had a similar experience and asked him what he was talking about. Evidently he was the parking (police) and scanned the passes regularly and if it wasn't visible or valid he would mark the car for towing. He said they would be there in around a hour to tow it. We had 5-- 2bedroom units for the labor day weekend which sleep 6 people each and were allowed only 1 pass per unit. They explained all the offsite places as described in other posts but said there were NO exceptions to the rule.. We had to shuttle cars back and forth resulting in tension that I and others were there to get away from. Anyone visiting us had to be shuttled. There were dishes and silverware in cabinets and drawers that were unwashed, having my wife doing dished on arrival. This parking rule is set by the Homeowners Association. I just want them know that this rule with NO exceptions has resulted in my family and friends going elsewhere in the future . Parking!!

Here to celebrate a milestone birthday and our group has rented multiple rooms for multiple nights. Rooms are capable of occupying 6 people. Yet they only allow 1 parking place per unit. Doesn’t matter that it’s an off weekend and the parking lot is near empty. Doesn’t matter that one of the vehicles is for a disabled elderly couple with a disabled parking permit. Advice from front desk is to find street parking. Guess what, not available. Also suggested is to park at City Hall, which doesn’t allow overnight parking. When we expressed our disappointment in this policy with the front desk, politely, we were simply hung up on. No apologies, no regrets or condolences. Just an attitude of “too bad for you.” It’s a shame as this place is otherwise enjoyable. The worrying about parking out a damper on what could have been a nice relaxing weekend. Great vacation paradise

We stayed here for a week and I do not have one negative thing to say about this place. We faced the intercostal waterway and got to see the sunrise and dolphins every single morning. It is very peaceful and relaxing. Not too noisy and less crowded which we loved. The beach access is right across the street and we walked over each day to enjoy it as well! I cannot wait to bring my family back here to vacation soon! We stayed here for a week and I do not have one negative thing to say about this place.
