This resort is defieintly a 5 star resort as are other Wyndham resorts we have stayed in.

This resort was centrally located on Thames St. and we were able to access wonderful restaurants and places of interest on foot! We were extra blessed with a beautiful harbor view from our window! The staff went out of their way to answer our questions and meet our every need! Great view and location to Newport but needs repair and cleaning

The location, view, check in and out were great. They called just to confirm the week RCI point trade and reservations. They have one car parking, laundry machines and dryers for free. Stay in 405 8/28/2021 - 9/4/2021, last week (#01 to #06 rooms are slightly smaller but have view of harbor): Dishes and bedding were clean. Room was not to Wyndham standards: oily top of microwave door, but worse was the shower/bathroom with visible mold in shower and drywall, and had strong mold and old urine odor. Front desk said that it would be cleaned twice (gave up the third day). I cleaned it my self with disinfectant -- toilet tank was filled with black mold. Reduced the odor to a tolerable level. Issue is no working exhaust in bathroom. Normal always-on exhaust in bathroom had no flow. The whole room was damp -- moist carpet if AC not constantly turned off. May the exhaust was turned off, due to COVID for large air gap on door to common indoor hallway, but have created a huge mold problem. The location, view, check in and out were great. Central and lovely view

This place is very centrally located and our room had a nice view of the harbor. Walking distance to many sites and restaurants and shops. Make sure you make reservations way ahead of time if you want to eat at any of the restaurants on the water. However, we were not happy the outdoor roof top was closed, and we couldn’t do laundry because they only allowed one guest per two hours and did not manage it at all. Also they did not provide ymca passes as mentioned on their website. Claimed due to COVID but whatever.... would stay again though and was able to cook a lot in partial kitchen which was very well stocked. I’ll definitely miss our view.... Probably my least favorite Wyndham property

So, for starters, we are here for 3 nights. We check out tomorrow. My bf asked for towels this morning and it’s after 8:00 PM and we still have not received fresh towels, so he is at the desk as we speak getting fresh towels. There is no housekeeping every day due to COVID (which I totally understand), but if we ask for fresh towels first thing in the morning, I think we should have gotten them by now. Next is the parking. Parking is free, but there’s not many spaces available for Wyndham guests so my bf is also downstairs getting towels after having to find a place to park. (Hopefully he doesn’t have to park in the garage across the street that charges money.) Next issue is the AC. I get hot easily, so air conditioning is a must for me. The bedroom is in the front area (next to the hallway and yes we hear people talking as they walk up and down the halls), and the AC unit is in the other area (past the bathroom and kitchen.) so the cold air is not circulating in the bedroom like it should. Next is location. This hotel has the best location to everything downtown. It also has really great views of the water from the living area (but the window doesn’t open so you can’t go outside to take in the breeze). I have stayed at so many Wyndham properties (some of my faves are Chicago and Orlando). Last is the laundry. There is no washer and dryer inside the room. Have to go to another area of the hotel, which is not what I’ve come to love about Wyndham. Do not stay in room 203, unless you like to double flush the toilet, stay in a hot room and hear the people talking in the hallways outside!!! So, for starters, we are here for 3 nights. Great location

The location of this property is its best feature. The room was a little disappointing based on our stays at other Wyndham resorts-very small, mini kitchen (no oven, no dishwasher, very limited counter space), folding door separated bedroom from living space which didn't close completely and was very noisy to open/close, no balcony. We will visit Newport again but will stay at Wyndham Newport Onshore which is right next door with larger units and more on property amenities. The location of this property is its best feature.
