Ужасное отношение к русским! Особенно со сторны барменов, делают самые худшие коктейли и налевают самый дешёвый алкоголь. Если просишь повторить как сделали другим, демонстративно говорят, что коктейль кончился. Больше в этот отель ни ногой!!! Ужасное отношение к русским! Отель 3*, не больше

Отель находится на карибском море. Но никто не пишет коралловые тапочки, они вам понадобятся. Много ракушек в самом начале и близко мини-риф. Там много ежей. Так же скаты подплывают близко, так что будьте аккуратны. Номера нормальные. Русских селят в 5 корпус. Тихо, но у части балконов окна во внутренний двор. Одежда просто не просохнет. Уборка каждый день. 9 корпус не советую с детьми , там дискотека прямо возле него, французская анимация, они очень шумные, уснуть будет трудно. Фламинго не ищите, они умерли, пока отель был закрыт. Направо от отеля в 10-15 метрах продаются переходники. 1$. В отеле 20$. Выходить и ходить можно и нужно. Супермаркет налево от отеля. Можно дойти по береговой линии. До стройки отеля хеменгуэй. Там будет тунель, по нему до конца и ещё раз налево вдоль дороги метров 40-50, дорого будет поворачивать направо и тут же, сперва очень хороший маркет. С фруктами, сигарами, игрушками и прочими радостями. Еда в отеле очень и очень однообразная. Морепродукты каждый день, но одни и те же . Фрешей нет. 3 вида банана, 2 вида риса, картошка, плюс мясо и гриль. Плюс то, что места хватает всем. За напитками к вам подойдёт официант и спросит, что желаете. Фрукты у нас были только папайя, ананас, изредка арбуз. За 2 недели очень надоела однообразная еда. Купить можно пинаколаду 4-6$ ( без алко/алко) и кокос 3$. Анимации детской тоже практически нет. Детская комната закрыта. Взрослой анимации так же нет. Bravo club облизывает исключительно французов. В целом отель больше чем на 3* не тянет. Отель находится на карибском море. Это просто сказка!

Отдыхали с дочкой(она взрослая).. Уже при выходе из самолёта поняли,что сказка начинается)) Нас встретил тёплый ветер,пальмы,уютный аэропорт и улыбки персонала… Отзывы про это отель читала,но реальность была ещё круче!!) Отель просто великолепный! Я много езжу и мне есть с чем сравнивать) Все сотрудники отеля очень приветливые,улыбчивые.. Вообще все доминиканцы живут как танцуют-весело,задорно,солнечно!) Номер нам дали на выбор в корпусе 5 и 6.. Нам понравился больше в 5 корпусе..И хотя это был первый этаж и не очень новая мебель,все равно все было хорошо) А преимущества первого этажа мы оценили потом,когда нужно было попасть в номер,а карточку кто то забывал из нас,ходили через балкон)) Фумигатор и переходник очень пригодились и сразу же) Сначала мы хотели в корпус 4(начиталась отзывов)), но нам сказали за отдельную плату.. а наш корпус был прекрасным, когда у корпусов рядом с бассейном гремела музыка -у нас было так спокойно..Питание замечательное- фрукты( ананасы,арбуз,дыня,папайя, бананы, манго был только один раз,но на пляже и супермаркете их продают по 1$) , можно купить не проблема.. Морепродукты,мясо разное,овощи,выпечка,утром кофе и мое всего-омлет,оладьи, фрукты, всего не перечислить, но всего много и разнообразно) Можно заказывать разные рестораны на вечер отдельно-итальянский(мы были только в нем и очень понравилось), доминиканский,японский,мексиканский.. Все ребята из хвалили,но были только в одном.. Бар на пляже работал круглосуточно, любые коктейли, мы не пьём, брали только безалкогольное)).. Столики от ресторана стоят прямо на пляже на песке, на открытой террасе,и в помещении.. На любой вкус и выбор)) Анимация шикарная!! На пляже йога,аквааэробика, разные конкурсы, бачата.. В отеле разные шоу, у бассейна тоже аниматоры устраивали танцы и конкурсы! Вообщем было очень весело!) Экскурсии брали по максимуму- на Саману, 7 водопадов и в Санта Доминго-эти все брали у Миши( как выходите из отеля-сразу направо и до вывески-« Экскурсии от Миши»… Миша -это лучший гид в этом месте,ему нет конкурентов! Он собирает небольшие группы,организовывает все очень четко,интересно рассказывает по дороге о жизни в ДР, традициях и особенностях.. Контакты его остались-могу скинуть кому понадобится).. Ездили в Коко Бонго-это клуб и цирк и шоу и концерт-такой микс!) Было очень круто! Эту поездку брали от представителя Анекс тура.. Экскурсии другие от Анекса не брали ,они дороже и на одной мы реально накололись((( Заплатили за одну,а по факту когда уже собрали весь автобус озвучили другую программу((( Те,кто не захотел ехать,вышли и деньги Анекс тур вернул в этот же день… Но впечатление не совсем порядочного отношения к туристам осталось.. Про пляж.. Он великолепен!!!) Мелкий песок, заход мелкий, вода тёплая,море мелкое,спокойное.. На пляже есть тент и от пальм и от тентов.. выбирай,что хочешь.. Пляж утром вообще безлюдный,да и потом народу немного..Туристы все очень доброжелательные,весь мир там отдыхает!! Я общалась со многими,все в восторге от отдыха! Вообщем,отдых удался на все 200%!! Отличный отдых для двоих

Ехали за морем и релаксом - всё получили! Пляж отличный, достаточное количество шезлонгов и тени, Основной ресторан с видом на Карибское море, Номера нормальные, уборка отличная, Было некоторое неудобство при заселении, которое на следующий день разрешилось на ресепшен. В ресторанах и барах приветливое обслуживание, вкусная еда. Рекомендую! Ехали за морем и релаксом - всё получили! В целом нормально

Вроде все хорошо, но есть пару минусов. Минусы существенные и влияют на качество отдыха. Итак первое: интернет вроде есть, вернее показывает подключение к сети, однако открыть что-то ближе к 5 корпусу просто нет возможности, в номере это сделать просто невозможно. Второе это наличие в номере холодильника, который не работает, то есть фактически это шкафчик со светом внутри и все. Ещё уже на протяжении 2 дней в номере нет горячей воды, а это уж совсем напрягает. Вроде все хорошо, но есть пару минусов. Минусы существенные и влияют на качество отдыха. Итак первое: интернет вроде есть, вернее показывает подключение к сети, однако открыть что-то ближе к 5 корпусу просто нет возможности, в номере это сделать просто невозможно. Второе это наличие в номере холодильника, который не работает, то есть фактически это шкафчик со светом внутри и все. Ещё уже на протяжении 2 дней в номере нет горячей воды, а это уж совсем напрягает.

Stay away, bad management

By visiting Emotions by Hodelpa Juan Dolio with my family I definitely got a lot of emotions, but most of them were negative. - Before arrival: sent two emails to the hotel using email from their site. No response at all. Frankly, my family got alerted, this is first time when hotel is not responding. - Check in: we've arrived couple of hours earlier then official 4pm check in. I visited dozens of hotels in Caribbean over last 20 years, all of them gave me a bracelet, so I can go and have a lunch, and gave me a room around check-in time. Don't expect that from Emotions by Hodelpa - they said I have to pay full day for early check in. My kids were hungry after long flight, so I had no options. Still, shame for Emotions by Hodelpa. More, man on check-in desk was so rude and unprofessional, it took me more than an hour to check in (sadly, I forgot his name, management, please check who worked on 11/25/2021 from midnight till 8am, Alfredo or so, hope you will find him). Fortunately, his shift was ended and lady who replaced him was able to complete my check-in in 5 min. I think if I will get a proper check-in my impression from the hotel can be a bit better, but this guy on check-in made everything to ensure that I will get a bad stay. - Room: never saw such outdated room (see pictures). More, door to the bathroom is not actually connected to it, there is a more than an inch gap, means all sounds and smells from the bathroom will go to the room. I am not even talking on privacy - gap is big so you can see all bathroom from the room. - Room: first time in my life when I saw wardrobe without doors (see pictures). Hopefully the last one, because I am not going to visit this hotel again. - Room: your balcony is actually shared with the next room - I found it inconvenient when other people are sitting next to me, expected for some privacy. - Room: only 1 outlet available. Fortunately I was smart enough for bring a multiplier. Bring your own or expect complains from your family that they cannot charge gadgets. - Ocean view: I bought an ocean front room. Well, technically it was ocean front (just 100 yards (or less) from the ocean) - but I didn't see an ocean even from the top floor because of the palms and trees. - Breakfast and lunch: food selection is extremely limited and repeated every day. Don't expect fresh juices, quality food, variety of food etc. All you will get is McDonald-like menu. And you have to chase someone if you will need coffee - don't expect they will stop by you in 1 minute, 30 minutes is closer to reality. - Beach: I guess I was unlucky - on the day 1 there was a landscaper who cut a grass from 10am till 3pm - plenty of noise and gas smelling; next day there was some Spanish family who celebrate a birthday in the Essentia pool - well, they produced more noise then landscaper, nobody from hotel management stopped them. - Beach: there is no lifeguard on the duty. - Beach: there is an area for Essentia, but nobody from hotel controls it. So, don't bother to upgrade to Essentia, you will get nothing - people on the beach will take your seats. - Bars: all alcohol is low quality (except beer, nothing special, but good in the hot weather). On the day 3 I found that they have limited amount of something drinkable (Jim Beam, Red Label, Black Label), but it is in the fridge, hidden, and you have to put a lot of pressure to get it. Go to other hotel where you can get it for truly all-inclusive. - Sounds pollution: there is a loudly music on the beach till 1am. So, don't buy ocean front rooms - you will not get an ocean view, but will get noisy rap or disco or Spanish music till 1am. - Covid19 tests: if you are unlucky person and your government requires Covid19 test for coming back - you are out of luck. First, hotel will charge you $65 per person for test (I visited 4 different hotels during pandemic, free test was always included). Shame for Emotions by Hodelpa. Next, there is only one person who is doing test, check paperwork, get money etc. - and she is lazy enough. As result it takes 30 minutes per person - my family spent 4 hours for simple rapid test. Well, it was not rapid at all. There are some good things: - hotel decoration is not that bad, sometimes interesting. - coffee house is good. - night a la carte restaurants are good (we've tried Dominican, Italian, Asian). - people who are actually working in the hotel (except man on reception when I arrived and people who bring drinks on breakfast and lunch) are good and friendly. I think management is pretty bad and needs to be replaced. Last: - I am sure, hotel management will reply on this review with standard 'I am sorry...'. Please don't believe them (their words cost nothing for them) and pick up other hotel - you will get better experience. Dissatisfied and Disappointed customer. If you are a local or of a Dominican decent, stay away.

Just so you know I’m currently staying a the Hotel (Emotions by Hodelpa). Where do I start? I planned to stay here for 3 days and 2 nights. A the checking I was given an allegedly upgrade out of the blue t building 1 across the street. Get to the room on the 3 floor walk up, and what was supposed to be a couples weekend started with a double bed. Went back to the reception and was told availability was at capacity. Phone in the room do not work. Staff seems to be very pleasant with guest from abroad( non Spanish guest). Waited a the buffet table for a beer to be attended after other ( Caucasian) guests were taken care off. Another Africa American couple next to me was commenting the same exact situation. No information regarding wifi was offended at reception. Hotel is outdated compare to their other locations, I have visited the one a zona colonial and is decent, but is not a resort obviously. Please note that I have stayed a this chain hotel previously, but the one in Puerto Plata. Ladies and gents please listen carefully, STAY AWAY from HODELPA EMOTIONS JUAN DOLIO. Wendy and Jesenia are the best!

I stayed at Emotions for a few weeks during the summer, as I was working on a movie production on the island and that's where the studio had us staying. I did have a few hiccups during my stay (no hot water for a day or two and an issue with checking into my room), but the best part of staying there was having Wendy and Jesenia as my housekeepers. Wendy worked predominantly in building 10 and Jesenia in building 5, but they always treated me with such courtesy and warmth and always made sure to leave my room feeling clean and personalized. For the amount of time I spent at Emotions, I was so happy to always see them around, as their greetings always made me feel right at home in the hotel. Great staff really makes for a wonderful experience and I was lucky to have 2 of the best there.
