Wonderful five days, with five kids and me

Stayed four nights with my five kids aged 16 - 5. The check in was great, room was clean and better than expected. Fit all six of us easily. Three TVs. Good parking, never had to work far. Slept well even without ac. It is November so not so hot. Beds were great. Lots of nice pillows. Plenty of kitchen plates, cups etc. second small kitchen in one of the bedrooms. I assume this can be rented as a second unit. We were on third floor, which I asked for, no elevator it the stairs were easy enough. Quiet at night, roosters start pretty early but that’s Kauai for you. Master bedroom had spa bath. The pools were great. Two of them. The main pool has a kids pool and spa pool. Nice but noisy!

Stayed for one week. Grounds, pool are very nice. Well maintained. Office staff very nice. Had a problem with a water leak in our unit and the manager, Holly, was most helpful in finding us another unit. All of the units are large and well appointed. The problem is the noise. It is so unbelievably loud- mostly mornings and evenings. If you have the experience of being on the lower level you will hear the people above you walking around, pulling chairs in and out. The units are close together so you can hear the people near you and you are near many people! Opening the screen doors are loud and there are plenty of them. Even with doors closed it is still loud. Relaxing in paradise

Great location for a relaxing week in Kauai. Our unit was spacious and well-maintained. The pool was clean and convenient to the condo. Some of the island attractions are a considerable drive away, but we didn't find that too burdensome. Wild roosters did wake us rather early, but that's part of the charm. 1500 characters is too little to accurately review Ka 'Eo Kai.

Good: Pretty grounds, location, nice architecture, staff pretty friendly Bad: Noise. It just seems to carry, and there's plenty of it. In the 2 weeks we were there, there was near daily gasoline-powered landscaping beginning at 8am, power tool noise coming from a unit being renovated, and lots of slamming of doors. We could hear guests in adjacent units like they were in the unit with us. The fall weather necessitated us keeping the jalousies open, and as I said, all the units are quite close together. Because of the unit's wall of windows, there are four sets of blackout curtains which, whether open or closed, block all the jalousies. Since the two screen doors gapped and let in literally hundreds of flies, we couldn't keep them open and had to tie up all the blackout curtains to have any air, an annoying oversight. There is also no housekeeping for guests, and they did let us know that we could call guest services if we needed anything... but they gave us a hard time when we called to request replacement sheets and towels, so... Also, its starting to look grubby. All things considered, I would recommend this place if you are well comfortable with average time share living, and you're not in the least bothered by high levels of ambient noise and/or are planning to be out and about all day, every day. We have stayed at maybe a dozen properties in Princeville over the years, and there are many comparably priced, more suited properties for those who like a relaxing experience. Roosters!!

This is a clean and well maintained resort, some units don't have A/C. Roosters start at dawn and end at dusk. The beds are very hard and pillows flat to the point of being uncomfortable. There is no fitness center on site. The washer, dryer and dishwasher are very loud. There appear to be many local renters living at the resort. If you have upstairs neighbors be prepared to hear them walking loudly whenever they move about. This woke us up at 1 am. The lanai is fantastic and we had a wonderful view of the ocean.
