Peaceful and relaxiing

Berkley is our favorite resort, a very peaceful and relaxing setting. The units are luxurious and the grounds are very well maintained. There are three 18 hole old golf courses adjacent to the resort snd everything you need is on Bronson highway in front of the resort.. Was great- until we found the roaches.

The outside of the property was well maintained, inside the room cleanliness was subpar, but we managed, until night 10 of our 2 week stay when I was met with a little friend while using the bathroom in the middle of the night. To my horror, it was a nymph cockroach, looking further I found and egg sack under the sink, and then a dead adult behind the night stand. What was almost worse- was the reaction from management, who acted like it was no big deal, and although we were leaving 3 days early only offered to “pay for dry cleaning.” Fought over refunding our points. Sent a maid to check under the sink, I guess to be sure we weren’t lying, and told me it was “an outside bug that flew in the night before”… Absolutely disgusting. “We strive for 5 stars” my butt. Clean small resort

The 2 units were very clean. We had a 2 bedroom and a 3 bedroom. The staff were very friendly. The Berkeley is close to the Disney parks. They also had a bus shuttle to each of the parks that we did not use. The two gas grills were clean and easy to use. I would recommend this property. The 2 units were very clean. Excellent

Small resort, very quiet, very clean and beautifully kept. Rooms were good size. Unit was very nice, clean with a great floor plan. Loved the pools and hot tub. Very near everything. Not a Fun Resort

I would have given a 2 1/2 stars just to be nice but there wasn't that rating. Anyone who gave a 5 star must not travel much. I booked through RCI. Said it was gold crown. I was charged RCI points, $ 109 exchange fee, and a $ 76 "amenity fee". No real amenities. They had transportation to Disney parks only (no Disney Springs, etc.) leaving once early morning and returning once late evening. Not convenient. No bar by pool for food or drinks. Entrance Sign at pool said NO outside drinks or food. ??? NO SECURITY AT GUARD GATE. Come and go as you please and anyone else if they please. Pool had very few people there maybe 5 at any time. Not a fun place. Some upgrades, but dated. Due to my work (no fault of the Berkley) I was detained arriving for one day. Asked for manager to call me to see if I could have a late checkout on my last day so I could have a leisurely breakfast in the room and swim for a bit. No call from manager. I received a call at 9:00 am on my last day to remind me to leave by 10 am. If I wanted to stay the extra 2 hours it would be $ 25 per hour. After all I paid - you've got to be kidding. The resort had very few guests. At any time if there were more than 20 cars parked that was a lot. Not that they needed that room right away. No customer service. No amenities. NO FUN !!!
