my amazing trip to amazon

The place is very beautiful and peaceful, the place is very calm, the best thing is that it is outdoors and that I was always in contact with nature, the hotel protects the environment and I learned how we can do it too. The hotel has many plans to carry out, you have to choose the best, you have to visit the dolphins and you must ride the buffalo, you must try the typical food and you must visit the hotel's zoo. In conclusion you must visit the Amazon to know many more things about our country, personally I would go again The place is very beautiful and peaceful, the place is very calm, the best thing is that it is outdoors and that I was always in contact with nature, the hotel protects the environment and I learned how we can do it too. Prison feeling

In july we spend 4 days in this hotel beautifully situated in the jungle. However don't expect much. The food is in the lower level with nearly an exact repetition every day. Although we were in the nearby city of leticia we had some fruits only once. As we paid our stay all inclusive, Could not get a decent drink but cheap rhum and vodka from nearby Brazil. Beer and wine are extra. The prison feeling was that all tours were organize by the hotel, one did not have any choice and very expensive. Outside tour operators were not allowed to dock at the hotel. You pay for everything, even boots to walk in the nearby jungle. The Hotel it is the only in the area which is from Leticia 40 on the boat. this is very popular but because is in the Jungle it is hard to find many things around, just what the hotel offers. Food - nothing special, they cook rice, potatoes, egg same things in a different way every day Activities - they make sure their tours are full so they sale it to you - monkey island - brazilian town - etc these activities are at extra cost per person Hotel - the service is not good the place it is so big that has lost their character, all inclusive it not good, free drinks at the bar it is just only sugar and for food and snacks people have to wait long time and lucky if you get anything The Hotel it is the only in the area which is from Leticia 40 on the boat. this is very popular but because is in the Jungle it is hard to find many things around, just what the hotel offers. The definition of a tourist trap

The rooms are very nice and the location is amazing, Those are the only two nice things about the hotel. Everything else, especially the tours organized by the hotel, is a tourist trap. Because the hotel is in a somewhat remote location, you are st their mercy in terms of food and transportation. The food is extremely basic (beans, rice, and fish every day) and the schedules are limited. There is no way to eat anything else around the hotel. The tours are the worse part. They are massive and they will find ways to ger more money from you, including selling you their souvenirs for a whole hour as you ride the boat to your location. They have hotel staff trying to sell you their other packages every day as you try to have your dinner in peace. Finally, make sure you get a room really far from the restaurant, as they will blast really loud music every day until midnight. Forget about hearing the sounds of nature in peace. If I could give less than 1 star I would!

I have stayed in quite a few Questionable Hotels in my travels... but this one takes the prize as THE WORST HOTEL I'VE EVER SEEN! It's hot as hell, as expected, in the Amazonas but the staff don't seem to care about you as they make you wait for 4 hours without access to any water (the limited mini mart with the bottled water was closed even though it was the middle of the day and no amount of asking for water seemed to help). There is not one staff member that can speak even just one word of English so with our limited spanish it was extremely challenging. Finally we could go to our room which was dirty and poorly maintained, no fridge to keep anything cold should we have something, air conditioning only comes on at 9pm and goes off at 4am ... no option! No control to change the temp even .. you will do as we say and when we say it!! Just like prison! Only cold water in the very sad shower.. which was good at first, but got not so good very quickly. The food is served at set times and you can't just wander to the buffet when you feel like it.. you must line up like prison and get some inedible slop thrown in your plate by very unhappy grumpy staff!! Go to the bar for the included alcoholic beverages to wash down the disgusting food??? Don't bother.. the beer is warm and flat and served out of a plastic container into a tiny plastic cup. The cocktails are just variations of vodka served with sickly sweet cordials, also in a tiny plastuc cup... in fact, for and eco resort they use a LOT of unecological products!! The tours were ok... just... but there's nobody that speaks English that can tell you that you need to take cash with you to pay for the extra taxes and admissions and tips etc etc and if a tour falls over there's nobody that can help you with discussing an alternative tour and what it entails. They suggested the 4 hour night walk in the jungle... but the guide only spoke Spanish and we were not going to see much in the dark... "it's about listening to the jungle" , so.. no thanks. We did substitute one of our failed tour days with a Kayak down the Amazon which was ok... not much to see, but it was kind of relaxing. Nobody explained to us the entertainment available... one night we stumbled upon the traditional dance show that looked like it might have been ok... had we known it was on. So in summary, the rooms are terrible and noisy, the food and drinks are disgusting, the staff are grumpy, the facilities are old, tired and filthy, oh... and you can only get a bad coffee in the morning breakfast sitting, not at any other time of day... and don't even think about asking for a cup of tea!!
