A quiet resort at a not very convenient location

We spent a week (Mon. - Fri.) in this place. First of all, it is very difficult to find - Google map points it to a wrong place so finding it is hard, especially in the hilly area. The staff (a man in his early 40's with a round face) had next to none of English so it was pretty hard to communicate with him. The room we had was a 2-bedroom with full kitchen, very spacious, very nice. One way to Fuji mountain is about 2 hours with multiple bus transits, and last bus coming back is 5:30 pm therefore you don't have much time to tour Fuji mountain area (5th station or Lakes). Nice resort but difficult to communicate

We had a 2 bedroom apartment on an RCI exchange programme. It is located up the hill at Gora. You need to buy groceries to cook and breakfast. The room is well appointed with all the cooking utensils needed. Hardly any restaurant nearby within walking distance. You need a car to stay here. Reception staff could hardly speak a word of English. There is no housekeeping. You need to bring down your own rubbish to lobby level to dispose. Room size is acceptable with one room having single beds and another room on tatami. Would prefer to Sundance resort compare to Big Week resort which has poorer facilities and service. The unit is very spacious but there is no cleaning during the stay. All instructions in the room are in Japanese. The location is good but it is restricted by the schedule of the cable car. Therefore, you cannot come back late after the last cable car. Otherwise, you need to take a taxi which might be difficult to find at night. Family Styled Stay

Very family friendly resort with hot spring facilities. We are satisfied with everything the room/resort had to offer. You can see the apartment has been through some wear and tear (normal stuff), however, it's still maintained very well. Kitchen is well equipped and bedding was clean and comfortable. One thing that could have been pointed out to us earlier (upon booking with our timeshare service provider) was that electricity and water will be billed as per usage.
