Quaint small hotel a few blocks from town centre.

There is no luxury here but your needs will be met with a friendly face and staff who try to help. The hotel is less than a 10 minute walk to the zocalo and many restaurants. There is also a very nice roof top restaurant at the hotel which currently serves only breakfast (all very good) at reasonable prices. Our king bed room was quite cramped and had very little space to put anything. There was only one chair in the room but there were several lovely sitting areas in the common area. The furniture was "rustic" and the bedding and towels need updating. The area around the hotel seemed rundown, which was a common scene throughout the city. Wonderful Gem!

My BFF and I did a trip to Oaxaca for Day of the Dead. Hotel Casa Divina was a wonderful gem to stay in. We had a great room with beautiful, old world charm. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had nice bathroom facilities. The courtyard in the hotel was beautifully decorated for Day of the Dead. It was a quick 7-10 minute walk from the center of town, so the location was perfect. The staff were wonderful—so friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was included—we had a choice between pancakes or eggs with fruit, juice and coffee. It was served in a very pretty restaurant on the upper floor. A great point to explore the city

The hotel location is very good, near zocalo and market. The interior of hotel is also nice with inner patio, there is a restaurant and a bar within which has good food. The service was also very good; the lady at reception was very welcoming and helpful in organizing tours. The price of tour is same whether you book it through hotel or on the street. The only disappointment was the room itself, a bit damp and not kept up to date. The hotel location is very good, near zocalo and market. A nice hotel in the center of Oaxaca.

A few blocs away from the zocalo, this hotel offers nice, comfortable and very clean rooms. The staff is very helpful and attentive to your needs. Ask for a room with a view, as several rooms only have doors or windows opening on the internal courtyard. At the moment, this hotel does not offer breakfast or bar/restaurant service, but a restaurant is being created. Villas are 7km away for the main building downtown

Very disappointing. I booked a Villa because I was traveling with my husband and another couple. The reason why I booked this hotel was because of its location so I asked several times if the Villa was located downtown and I was assured it was. My husband and I arrived on Friday and were told our villa was not available, so we stayed at the main hotel for the first night. This was ok since the rooms are spacious and my friends were arriving until Saturday. On Saturday morning we went sightseeing and later returned to the hotel to pick up our luggage to move to the villa. A staff member from the hotel rode with us in our car, and it was until that moment (7pm) that we found out the Villa was located 7kms away. I was VERY disappointed since I wouldn't have booked this hotel if I had know that the Villa assigned was not located in the downtown area. We tried getting another villa or room assigned and the hotel staff could not arrange anything for us; we were all tired and decided to settle in the villa. It is a little house with 2 bedrooms and a tiny bathroom. The worst part.... We found food on the refrigerator that I guess belonged to a prior guest.
