Restful, relaxing week

Royal Decameron Punta Centinela was a wonderful all-inclusive place to rest and relax. We were the only English speaking guests for the week and the staff was so accommodating. I had a great chance to practice my Spanish. So clean and observant of COVID rules that we felt very safe. Paola and Marty went beyond expectations in helping us. Worse choice for vacations scammers

This company in general is a real pain in the ass if you book with them and you cancel it, most probably you won't see your money back even if you have a free cancelation policy and you comply with it, theys just care about them and not the customer, I didn't complete my trip becuase of pandemic and I canceled it acording the policies I will attach on here, I alrrady discuss so many times and all they do its to asing a ner agent and sent me the same message finally they told me they will not reimburse my money, but they can give me service, I dont want to know abput them so I'll fight until i get my money back, NEVER BOOK WITH THIS PEOPLE THEY WON'T GIVE YOUR MONEY BACK EVEN IF YOU Have a deal with the person who helps you to book, They don't care about You they care about them Worse vacation company ever!! And forever! A fraud, terrible experience

Punta Centinela es about 30 minutes drive from Salinas: it is a town with no amenities in the middle of nowhere, so all your necessities should be provided by this hotel. They have a small clothing store and a poorly stocked drugstore. Nothing else. So, if you need or want something you need to drive to Salinas. The staff is well mannered, but slow: they will take their time to do anything. The rooms have tile flors, and not a rug, mat or floor cloth anywhere. The doors have very old locks, and the “do not disturb” hanging cards are as old as the hotel itself. The bathroom was pooly maintained. But the bed was large and the mattress was still firm. The drinks are simply terrible: worst quality alcohol, the cheapest you can purchase in Ecuador in any store. Food (breakfast, lunch and dinner) the worst I have ever had in any hotel in any Latin American country I have visited. The food was stale and oily. Even the coffee was burned and it was very difficult to get even a second cup. For the amount of money you pay, I suggest going any place in Salinas. Yes, the beach was nice, but dirty. In general good

I spent with my family almost two weeks at the resort. Our room was big and very good illuminated, with a view to the pool (not to the ocean as per the info of the supplement we paid per person $$$). The restaurants were good and the food very varied. The all inclusive included food and drinks. The gym opened early, but the pools not (I like swimming and wanted to do it early). Evenings and nights were entertaining because we had karaoke, dancing and shows (very good!) I would like to point out only that the prices for the tours, not included in the all inclusive, are extremely expensive. One of those to go snorkeling was not good, as the people of the tour told us we were allowed to do the activity only 30 minutes when it was supossed to be one hour and a half. We claimed and we were given a discount for a different tour for other day. The personnel working for Decameron are very good, polite and helpful. Very good impression. I'd like to suggest that they install transparent curtains on the windows. At the moment they have only heavy curtains, and if you want to open them for lighting, everyone can see what you do inside.
