Regretted staying here

Where to begin? The sheets were full of sand. Room service managed to throw my shopping bags away, but failed to get rid of the sand. The people at the front desk were rude and incredibly unhelpful at every moment of the day. I felt more like a hostile target than a guest. The pool was dirty as well. The only good thing about the hotel is that it is close to Enjoy Punta del Este and you can easily go there to enjoy the many facilities that Sol y Luna Home & Spa is sadly and severely lacking. Excellent service, friendly staff

There are some negative reviews here but my experience was positive. The front desk staff were very friendly. Mariella and Maria both spoke English and were both so nice and accommodating. Paula spoke Spanish only but was also super nice and gave us tips about La Barra. Mariella helped us organize a rental car and called our next hotel destination to clarify a few questions we had. She is a very warm hearted person that I rarely experience in the service industry. Hotel bed big and comfy. Rooms very clean and good views from 6th floor. Few negatives: Loud construction behind the pool area and the new high rise next door. Did not bother us at all in our room though. Bathroom is very small, if you are a large person, you might have issues. We would return to sol y luna. There are some negative reviews here but my experience was positive. Very good

I stayed with my husband and son in a one room apartment, it was very good because in the living room there is sofa bed for my son, up 2 sleep there.. The apartment was clean and comfortable, small full kitchen, large balcony around the apartment with view. Only the bathroom is a little bit small but it's ok. I'd like to change the pillows. Garage for free, pool was nice. Simple but good breakfast. Location very good to enjoy the beaches (Mansa and Brava) with service (chairs /umbrella) that is very good with kid. Escape While You Can

I pre-paid for four nights at this "spa" and the minute I arrived knew it was the worst mistake I had made in my 35 years of traveling. The room looked like and SRO. I tried to check out and offered to pay one night and front desk manager became belligerent and threatening. A dreary dim, unventilated room. Photos do not reveal the decrepit state of the facility and rooms. Clean, nice appartment

Well equipped appartment in Punta del Este. It's very clean! The breakfast is really good, one of the best in Uruguay! Fresh fruit, bread, fresh juice, good coffee. I liked the laundryplace!
