Disappointed beyond belief

arrive on Friday after a long flight to find that the door lock for my room was damaged, this obviously being a security breach I reported it to the hotel staff immediately which was 2days ago and still nothing has been done, I cannot shower or enjoy the room comfortably with partner without the fear of someone walking in and invading our privacy. On top of that we have been experiencing yellow water from the tap and shower. If that wasn't bad enough my TV has not worked the whole time that we have been here. The food and drinks have been mediocre at best cocktails are watered down food is basic not many options have resorted to eating out of the resort. Ordered room serviced that took over 2 hrs to come the portion size was ridiculous I was given 5 fries with my burger and the food was cold. The beach is foul smelling so I try to stick to the adult side of the pool but with the limited seating space it's not always ideal. It's unfortunate that this is my experience as j was referred here by a relative Christine and omar Alderman that are preferred members here. DONT BOTHER WASTING YOUR MONEY

This place is absolutely terrible, I’m currently staying and looking into finding an Airbnb to cut stay short. I’m not even sure where to begin with this review. Food quality and options are poor to say the least. Drinks are watered down the juices are not fresh they taste like sugar and water. Food and service is the bare minimum food is not replaced in the canteen for breakfast until it is directly brought to a member of staffs attention. Food options are poor in restaurants better to go into little town to eat. There is no entertainment for adults at all. The water in our bathroom has been yellow for the past 3 days. And our bed had stains inside the sheets on arrival. DO NOT ORDER ROOM SERVICE. It took over and hour and a half for them to make a carbonara, burger, pizza. With a fruit salad and chocolate cake for dessert, the cake and burger didn’t come and the carbonara was pasta in a bowl of what looked like milk. Not a Dreams Resort

I stayed at this resort for 7days with my infant and family and expected to stay at a Dreams Resort and Spa Chain. Unfortunately, the outcome was very disappointing. The resort was not as expected and needs a lot more than 7million to make it comparable to other Dreams Resorts. They recently reopened with a Dreams title yet fail to meet most standards of the chain. The beach is more like a swamp. Not as pictured in the photos on their site. During their renovations, they enclosed the ocean with rocks in order to control the seaweed issue Mexico faced. However, in-turn it has left the water dirty and still. The neighbouring resort (Catalonia) has by far a better beach. The standards that usually come with a Dreams Resort are not upheld at this hotel such as restaurants, rooms, turndown service, entertainment, room service and the beach. The phone in the rooms don’t work. Room service is next to impossible for a simple milk carton request for my infant. They only have one buffet for breakfast and lunch which serves THE SAME food day in and day out. All rooms are within the same building and only have 1 functioning elevator where all guests can use to access rooms/lobby. Having an infant, the request for a crib was made during booking and again during check in. We waited about 2 hours for a room and one would assume that the crib would be in the bedroom. Yet, when I got to my room I had to call down to place another request. I mean simple enough but when you add everything up together… it’s a bit of an inconvenience which I was willing to let go up until the point where I felt repulsed. We stayed in room 450 and on our last night noticed a discolouration in the water. The water was not clear, rather it was YELLOW!! The only reason we noticed it was because we filled up the sink and with the accumulation of the water saw the change. Overall, if you are looking to stay at a Dreams DO NOT stay here. It falls far behind and need much more work. Rather than investing the millions in the infrastructure they Simply made a face lift to make it appear as though new yet have rotting pipes which makes you bath, wash your face and brush you teeth in DIRTY water. Annual UVC trip

Came home yesterday after a week at Dreams Aventuras. It was a fantastic experience with only a few glitches. The food was phenomenal with one exception, the steak at the Seaside grill was inedible, but I think it was just a bad night, because the Asado night on Saturday had great entrees. The sand on the beach is basically crushed coral so rough on the feet and since I stubbornly go barefoot while on vacation my feet are a bit rough. Playing beach volleyball on my last day I threw out my back, but obviously no fault of the resort. The employees made our trip. I got to know so many by name, and they all remembered me and the small group I was with. We were treated like great friends visiting their home everywhere we went. Hats off to the entertainment team, Julio, Uziel, Eduardo, Roman and Ali who were a definite highlight of the week, Marcelino in the Desires bar for the non stop Margaritas, Ruben and Rosaura on the beach for keeping our drinks full, Kenny, Oscar and Sophie at the Amstar desk for making sure we were set with everything, Javier for a smooth check in and friendly wave everytime we passed his desk, Fay at World Cafe for being our everyday waitress and taking great care of us, and many others who's names escape me now. May I make one suggestion... the resorts beach is ok and getting better everyday since opening the wall (I swam there almost everyday, no issues) but if you want a great snorkel experience, a short walk to the next resort to the left puts you in some great clear water with great fish and a good size coral reef. We went a couple times and was so cool. Also, the natural salt water pool by the Barracuda bar is a relaxing soak,, some fish and many baby crabs along the wall. Wedding Party

Amazing stay, awesome food and entertainment. Buffet was great the whole time. You have to see the night shows and try out the Zumba on the beach.
